We continued our 2026 spring camp tour at Checotah for their team camp. We got an early look at the Wildcats as well as Henryetta and Vian last week. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at seven players that stood out to us throughout the evening with players from Checotah and Vian. Check out our YouTube Channel later today for highlights from the team camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='1573294' first='Adoff' last='Stahl'] - 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Vian

Vian 2027 wide receiver and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1573294' first='Adoff' last='Stahl'] is the first of several standouts from the Wolverines. Stahl is also going to go into this season as one of the unquestioned veterans after starting the last few seasons. But we've known Stahl mostly for being a hard-hitting defensive back during their last two runs to the 2A-2 state championship game. In Checotah, Stahl also showed that he could be a valuable part of the Vian offense at wide receiver. We're not sure how much offense he'll play this fall, but he'll be a threat when he's out there. And defensively, he'll be one of their top returning starters.

[player_tooltip player_id='1829231' first='Amos' last='Wright'] - 2029 Athlete - Vian

How would Vian replace star Masyn Wright at the running back position? With another Wright of course. 2029 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1829231' first='Amos' last='Wright'] saw playing time last season but almost strictly on the defensive side of the ball. But going into the 2026 season, look for him to have a breakout season on both sides of the ball. He was Vian's top option in the running game at camp and he definitely looks the part. Masyn was obviously incredibly productive on the offensive side of the ball and only time will tell if Amos is able to match that production as an overall playmaker. But if team camp was any indication, we think he'll do just fine.

[player_tooltip player_id='1164571' first='Ashton' last='Newport'] - 2028 Offensive Lineman - Checotah

Checotah 2028 offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1164571' first='Ashton' last='Newport'] is going into another season as a starter on the Checotah offensive line. Newport was without a doubt the biggest offensive lineman and he was lining up at center for the Wildcats. That's a combination we don't see very often but it was working for Checotah. Newport also looks like he has a much stronger grasp of the offense. He was calling out things to his fellow linemen before the snap and then after the snap, he's so aggressive with his hands and can do some real damage. Newport will go into this season as one of the more experienced offensive linemen in his class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1836182' first='Carter' last='Madsen'] - 2029 Quarterback - Vian

This was our first chance to see Vian 2029 signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='1836182' first='Carter' last='Madsen'] as the Wolverines look to replace a two-year starter at the position. Madsen impressed us in the team camp setting with his knowledge of the offense and never really putting the ball in harm's way. Madsen isn't the biggest quarterback by any means but it really didn't matter with his arm strength. It was really up there as he was consistently pushing the ball down field with zip and never really losing accuracy. Quarterback was a big question mark around Vian coming into this spring but we think they have that question answered with Madsen.

[player_tooltip player_id='1522515' first='Cole' last='Rolland'] - 2028 Quarterback - Checotah

After watching Checotah 2028 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1522515' first='Cole' last='Rolland'] going to work at team camp, he's going to be on our shortlist of most improved players coming into the 2026 season. Rolland has started for Checotah for the last two seasons and as we've talked about frequently on this website, some of the best quarterbacks tend to make huge jumps from their sophomore to junior seasons. Rolland looks like he could be the next guy. We were very impressed with how Rolland operated and he was doing a little bit of everything. He was stressing defenses with his arm and his legs and then played a little defense as well.

Demariaun Antwine - 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Vian

Vian 2027 wide receiver and defensive back Demariaun Antwine is going to be a player to watch for the Wolverines this season. We didn't know anything about Antwine coming into the team camp in Checotah but he's certainly on our radar now and moving forward. Antwine is a terrific looking athlete and he's going to give the Wolverines a match-up nightmare to contend with, week in and week out. There was one play in particular where Antwine was thrown a jump ball in the end zone and he climbed the ladder and the opposing cornerback had zero chance of contending with his size and leaping ability as Antwine came down with the catch.

Marcus Lollis - 2028 Wide Receiver - Checotah

Similar to Antwine, Checotah 2028 wide receiver Marcus Lollis is another new name for us to follow moving forward. We mentioned how Rolland looked fantastic at the QB position. Lollis ended up being one of his top targets and could end up being another breakout player this season. When Checotah wanted a big play and wanted to push the ball down field, it was Lollis that was consistently on the other end of those Rolland passes. It wouldn't surprise us if Lollis ends up having a pretty strong junior season. And like the other Checotah standouts on this breakdown, Lollis still has two more years of high school ball.
