2028 Watchlist to Ranked: Offense

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New 2028 prospects continue to emerge in the PRZ state player rankings. Here's a spotlight on the offensive players that moved up from the watchlist and into the updated rankings.</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">A lot to like about Wilmarth's upside and potential as a future college prospect. 6'5” 280 lbs. he's a long, athletic offensive tackle with good movement skills and body control in space. Plays with a naturally wide base that helps him anchor well in pass protection and maintain balance through contact. Shows strong hand usage with accurate placement and timing, allowing him to control defenders at the point of attack. Uses length effectively to keep rushers off his frame and mirror edge rushers. Displays the athleticism to climb to the second level and operate in both zone and gap schemes. Overall, a technically sound tackle with upside as a reliable pass protector and versatile run blocker. Good length in his frame at 6'2” 170 lbs. to get good extension at the catch point and a large radius to play the ball. Quick off the LOS, he accelerates for a strong drive phase to close DB's cushion and force a transition. Long speed allows him to push vertically effectively but can also separate underneath at the short/intermediate levels. Flashes strong and confident hands to attack and compete for the ball in the air. Shows off his speed and lateral quickness to make defenders miss after the catch. Efficient with his touches he turned 23 receptions into 6 touchdowns and 354 yards. Expect increased opportunities and production going forward.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Strong foundational skillset for the Kellis QB that flashed throughout his sophomore season. 6'2” 170 lbs. he possesses a lean athletic frame with good length to get added extension and velocity on his throws. Demonstrates his ability to hit a wide range of throws, can drive a one ball into a tight window with velocity and timing, be precise to the boundary, and throw with touch/trajectory downfield. Consistent and repeatable mechanics in the pocket, his footwork is clean and lands with a balanced/strong throwing platform. Plus athlete with quick feet to manipulate and escape pressure creating second chance throwing windows and running opportunities when protection breaks down. As a sophomore, he took 182 carries for 1,145 yards and 7 touchdowns while adding 68 total tackles on defense. As a ball carrier, he plays bigger than his 5'6” 150 lb. frame using great contact balance and leverage to slip tacklers and win at the POA. Instinctive with his movement, he's not going to beat opponents with pure speed but flashes well timed moves, good vision, and the ability to set up his cuts to break free. Demonstrates strong ball security through the first level and at the contact point. Will be one of the top players in the 3A division over the next several years. Enters the rankings at #71 overall and the #9 RB.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Hellbusch moves up from the watchlist and into the rankings after flashing a strong skillset for a slot receiver as a sophomore. 5'10” 170 lbs. he's got good short area quickness and acceleration as a route runner, after the catch, and as a kick returner. Creates separation underneath with sharp breaks at the top of the route and good change of direction and pushes downfield with double moves. Demonstrates great awareness of space and coverage opening up throwing lanes with good timing. He's a reliable target with softs hands and good concentration in traffic. Effective in option routes, jet sweeps, and quick game concepts where his agility and vision allow him to maximize yards after the catch.
