National Preps Collegiate Showcase: Top DB Performers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>National Preps had their Collegiate Showcase earlier this month. With roughly 200 of the top players from MD, DE, DC, PA, NJ, and VA with over 100 college coaches present from FCS-D3 to get eyes on that talent. Measuring in at 5'11"+ and 180lbs. with nice length. He ran the fastest 40 time of any DB with a 4.63 laser 40 and a 9'6" SBJ. Braxton was incredibly smooth and fluid in drill work. Making transitions and breaks with no loss of speed and attacking the ball. He is physical with good balls skills making getting a completed pass on him quite difficult. No surprise why Braxton holds a few IVY offers with his strong academics and play. Measuring in at 6'1"+ 180lbs and running a 4.8 laser 40 and a 9'6" SBJ. Griffin shined in both drill work and 1v1s. With quick feet and fluid hips, he was smooth in his transitions and played fast. He displayed excellent ball skills all day long. With good eye discipline and quick to read the play and break on the ball. Griffin made one handed grabs and diving interceptions during the day locking receivers down. Currently holding an offer from Wagner, he should easily have a handful of FCS offers in my mind. Measuring in a 6'0"+ 173lbs and was excellent in positional drills. He's got a long stride to go with twitchy hips and rapid feet. Quick to start/stop and explosive out of breaks and transitions. In 1v1s he was a shut down CB. Able to stay in phase with receivers - always balanced and ready to break due to his smoothness in his back pedal. Physical as well, Nafesse knows how to use his length to his advantage and get hands on passes for batted balls. He excelled in all 3 phases of the showcase - testing, drill work and 1v1s. Manny measured in 6'0" 161lbs, ran a 4.69 laser 40 (3rd fastest of all DBs) and had the biggest SBJ of all DBs with a 10'4" jump. Those are some big time numbers and backs up the type of athlete Manny is. He showcase rapid feet and shitfy hips, able to change direction with excellent burst of his plant foot. IN 1v1's Manny got his hands on multiple passes for PBUs and never let the receiver get separation. He checked off a lot of boxes and looked the part on the hoof. Measuring in at 5'11" , was a yoked 174lbs and registered at 10'5" SBJ score-which was tied for the highest score of all prospects at the event. JSA is prospect with a compact muscled up build and serious explosiveness. He is physical with great burst out of breaks and closing speed. JSA showcased good ball skills as well during drill work and 1v1s. Turning and locating it quickly to get his hands on the pass. A track athlete, and a high academic prospect as well, JSA is getting serious interest from schools like Brown, Villanova, Stetson and more.
