For the fourth straight year the Prince William County School District held their showcase at Gar Field High School Wednesday night. Schools that participated included Battlefield, Gainesville, Woodbridge, Osbourn Park, Colgan, Potomac Senior, Unity Reed, Brentsville, Freedom and Hylton. There were close to 130 2027s prospect out of the PWC on hand in hopes of impressing the college coaches that were in attendance. Seemingly each year this showcase is bringing out the best competition in Virginia and more kids are leaving the night with offers. I have honestly lost count on the amount of prospects who received scholarship opportunities last night. Recapping everything was hard for me but I wanted to provide some thought on some of the prospects who turned heads:

Offers:

[player_tooltip player_id='1683332' first='Logan' last='Harvey']- Norfolk, Maine, Ferrum, Stony Brook

If Coaches were selecting an MVP from the PWC Showcase Battlefield tight end/defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1683332' first='Logan' last='Harvey'] would of had my vote. He went into the night with maybe 1 offer and he left the evening with 5!

[player_tooltip player_id='1426550' first='Vinnie' last='Hill']- Norfolk

[player_tooltip player_id='1426550' first='Vinnie' last='Hill'] picked up a Norfolk offer and of course had a bunch of highlight reel catches, this is becoming a weekly thing for him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2080566' first='Samuel' last='Barlay Jr'].- Ferrum

Love the work Gar Field defensive back has been putting in this off-season, Ferrum was not going to let him leave without his first offer!

[player_tooltip player_id='2135106' first='Louis' last='Kenbeng']- Ferrum

Patriot all conference linebacker picks up his first offer, Kenbeng looked really good during the 1v1s, he will be one of the best defenders in the state this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2002759' first='Tyler' last='Brown']- Ferrum, Wheeling

Brown emerged onto the scene last fall for the Bobcats and he looks like an all state type of performer. He picked up two offers on the evening, he did quite well with the receivers and defensive backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2053740' first='James' last='Shaw']- Norfolk

Shaw was an kick returner a year ago and he too along with a number of his Vikings teammates are starting to get Division 1 offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1666563' first='Righteous' last='Hill']- Wheeling

Josiah got in on the fun Wednesday and he picked up his first offer from Wheeling. Hill had 60 receptions as a sophomore and 10 touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='1169058' first='Alhaji' last='Kamara']- Ferrum, Norfolk

Kamara is peaking at the perfect time, he picked up two offers after a dominating performance during the 1v1s. 15 sacks as a junior, Kamara has a chance for 20 this fall!

[player_tooltip player_id='1206167' first='IIan' last='Ervin']- Ferrum

Ervin has been a division 1 defensive linemen in my opinion for a couple years now, he made his mark Wednesday night.

[player_tooltip player_id='2145791' first='Aaron' last='Sarpong']- Norfolk

Sarpong is a rising star out of Gainesville High School, he checks all the boxes with a 3.7 GPA and a manmouth wing span. He can fly at 6'4 and has been clocked in at a 4.55 40 and is still coming into his own. Only playing football for over a year, we are just beginning to see his potential, I will be ranking him in our next update.
