Prep Redzone's Shayne Pickering and I are back on the road for our 2026 Spring Tour, scouting top football talent across Tennessee. Our third stop brought us to Ensworth School in Nashville for an exclusive look at one of the state's elite prep programs, now in its third year under head coach Tim Hasselbeck.

We came away with a look at five standout offensive players you need to know heading into the 2026 season. Three are dominant linemen in the trenches, and the other two are explosive skill players primed for very productive years.

2028 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1180873' first='Ashton' last='Coles']

Rising junior [player_tooltip player_id='1180873' first='Ashton' last='Coles'] was terrific last season for Ensworth. The big 2028 prospect is nasty in the trenches with impressive strength. After a strong showing in 2025, he's established himself as one of the top two offensive tackles in a loaded trench class.

Coles is versatile enough to play all over the line, but spent most of his sophomore season at left tackle, where he impressed in arguably the toughest classification in the state. He's excellent at everything, but is at his best when Ensworth gets him active in the run game. At 6-foot-5 and a lean 325 pounds, he's borderline immovable.

Coles also has nice technique and strong hands, which is a recipe for destroying defensive linemen. He has become a more polished player this offseason, resulting in multiple Power Four offers recently.

2027 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1673214' first='Jake' last='Baker']

[player_tooltip player_id='1673214' first='Jake' last='Baker'] has been on my radar for a minute, but seeing him in person at Ensworth's practice yesterday changed my perception of the talented offensive tackle. He's taken that next step from last season and looks more polished in certain areas. The 2027 prospect still has the summer to get better, making me excited to see the finished product when the Tigers take the field in Week 1 this upcoming season.

He possesses good size, standing 6-foot-6 and weighing 285 pounds in a lean, athletic frame that allows him to be mobile from his right tackle position. While he's more of a finesse lineman, Baker is a very physical player with strong hands, a nice anchor and the ability to dominate opposing players. The rising senior improved on his technique, which is excellent.

Even as an offensive tackle, Baker is a fluid player with terrific pass sets and the ability to do it all for Hasselbeck's team. He picked up his first Power Four offer from Oklahoma State recently, but has the potential to blow up on the recruiting trail.

2027 RB EJ Gibson

Ensworth's EJ Gibson is coming off a tremendous junior season where he rushed for 1,614 yards and 20 touchdowns, earning All-Midstate honors and being a Mr. Football candidate. He's an impressive player who possesses all the physical tools and skills to be a good player at the next level, but still has another year of high school ball.

He has solid size for the position, standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 200 pounds in a lean but thick frame. Gibson is built like a bowling ball and runs like one, too. He's physical between and outside of the tackles, but don't sleep on his speed. The rising senior is quick and agile, allowing him to be that complete player who can be used on every down.

There are a lot of quality tailbacks in Tennessee, but the 2027 prospect is one of the best that you will find. Gibson will be their top offensive player again next season, where he has a chance to capture the Division II-AAA Mr. Football award.

Photo: Ensworth TE [player_tooltip player_id='1952678' first='Teddy' last='Graff'] at a Prep Redzone camp.

2027 TE [player_tooltip player_id='1952678' first='Teddy' last='Graff']

[player_tooltip player_id='1952678' first='Teddy' last='Graff'] is next up for Ensworth, possessing an intriguing skill set as a tight end. He's a good blocker at his position, but has nice receiving upside due to his size. The rising senior stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 220 pounds in a long, athletic frame that gives him a huge advantage over most defenders.

He's too big for defensive backs, but has the wiggle to shake backers. While Graff isn't the most explosive player, he doesn't need to be given his size and strong hands. Ensworth used him primarily as a blocker last season, where he excels, but the 2027 prospect has shown the ability to be productive when they do throw his way.

Graff will see more targets this season, where he could break out as a top two tight end in 2027. He needs to improve in certain areas, but there is a lot of upside and the potential to be a productive FBS player.

2028 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1599119' first='Eli' last='Coles']

[player_tooltip player_id='1599119' first='Eli' last='Coles'] is a name to remember heading into the upcoming season. He saw a good amount of time as a sophomore last season, where he was decent. But the offensive lineman has vastly improved and looks to be Ensworth's center. The rising junior was taking reps there yesterday, where he was impressive.

He offers good size for his position, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 290 pounds in an athletic frame that allows him to move well. Coles is very physical and will put defensive players in the dirt, but don't sleep on his pass protection skills. The 2028 prospect has strong hands, a nice anchor and solid technique.

Coles needs to improve in certain areas and become more polished, but the progression from last season to now is encouraging. He will continue to upgrade his game throughout the summer and I'm very confident in saying the interior lineman will be a breakout player in 2026.
