He is a thin 6'2 150 with his best football ahead of him. He is a long strider with some juice, proving capable of galloping away from defenders in space, and climbing the ladder to win over the top. Bland is a multi-sport athlete with an impressive 6'4'' measure in the high jump, adding more context to the caliber of athlete here. He carries his 220 pounds on a lean, thin frame with space to pack on more weight. This kid plays hard, rallying at the point to overwhelm blockers, and flashing his motor when pursuing in space. He is a lean, cut 5'10 180 with a frame that checks boxes at the FBS level. Gooden is explosive downhill with good foot speed and an impressive ability to restart his runs after subtle contact. There is no nonsense to his game. He doesn't waste time dancing, instead staying on his path and relying on his explosiveness to find his top gear and lift off. Gooden is also productive in space as a receiver. Just a well-rounded back who both passes the eye-test and looks good on tape. Clark is raw, but his pure blend of size and power is enough to consistently win. His first step explosiveness allows him to beat blockers to the punch, and he uses his hands to fight hard at contact and shed. There's little recruiting buzz here, but there's a lot to harness for college coaches. Verdell is a thin, loose athlete at 6'0 155. I like this tape a lot, especially for a kid so underrecruited. He has the required foot speed to match releases, the hips to turn and run, and the ball skills to execute when in position. He fires hard downhill, working hard against blocks and exploding through the ball carrier. Regardless, I like the tape here. He is a stout, strong 5'9 185 who is low to the ground and runs behind his pads. The foot speed and change of direction is impressive here, which will be what intrigues college coaches the most, but I love his instincts and how he runs. He is patient, lets his blocks develop, and uses his short area quickness to quickly take advantage of open running lanes.
