When it comes to the open hours of the 2026 Carolinas Coaches Combines, the selections from the Grand Strand & Pee Dee will have opportunity to set the tone.

From experienced quarterbacks to some of the best offensive linemen in the state, high-profile defensive backs to big defensive ends, the GSPD will not only be well represented. It will have a core group of players capable to leading the way.

These rising seniors in particular have either cut their teeth at a previous CCC and/or under the lights. As such, they're ready to roll come the first two sessions at Woodland.

Editor's Note: Due to a conflict with the original site, the Carolinas Coaches Combines have moved their Lower State location to Woodland High School. It will still take place on Sunday, March 29.

[player_tooltip player_id='1664640' first='Paul' last='Livingston'] WR, Socastee

Livingston saw all but five games of his 2026 season wiped out, but in limited time, he continued to show what his big frame can do. After chiming in at 6-foot-2 1/4 and 188.4 pounds a year ago (he gotten a little bigger since then), he nine passes for 131 yards and a touchdown in five games for an offense that threw it roughly 10 times a contest last year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1036769' first='Maleek' last='Dukes'] LB, Kingstree

Duke, a three-year starter at various linebacker spots for the Blazers, is going to be on the cusp of 200 career tackles when his senior year begins this fall. He is versatile enough to stay on the edge and work his way into the backfield or line up a little more centrally and cover the middle of the field. His skills are tailor-made for a combine setting, and he should have no problem showing his stuff.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578290' first='Rod' last='Cranford'] DB, Hartsville

The Red Foxes' leading tackler from a season ago is another year older and a little more prepared to make some individual headway at Woodland this spring. He's going to be huddled amid a tight-knight group of defensive backs, but we believe that will raise his level of play, too. He's been more of a value as a run stopper for the Foxes, but he's not lacking in coverage ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='1823169' first='Derrick' last='Austin'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1823164' first='Jawuan' last='Gamble'] DBs, West Florence

One of the two F1S double-ups who were invited to Woodland, Gamble and Austin are going to form one of the more respected defensive backfields in Class 4A this year. They joined forces to pick off six passes, recover a pair of fumbles and score three defensive touchdowns as juniors. They also combined for 80 total tackles and break up four additional passes on top of their interceptions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1640595' first='Da'von' last='Bowman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1623916' first='Brian' last='Wilson II'] DBs, Wilson

Much like Austin and Gambles, Bowman and Wilson won't be playing second fiddle to anyone else's expectations among postionmates on the back side of a defense in 2026. These two made their way over to Wilson from Sumter after starting as sophomores and kept their momentum going. Bowman had five interceptions and 60 tackles last fall, while Wilson countered with 32 stops and five tackles for loss.

[player_tooltip player_id='1705035' first='Jakai' last='Cohen'] DL, Carvers Bay

Cohen is going to be among the bigger players at Woodland, as the 6-foot-3, 270-pound two-way lineman is going to be setting up shop primarily on the defensive side of the ball. We bumped him into our rankings after seeing him help lead the Bears to one of their best seasons in recent memory and helping to take over the line of scrimmage throughout the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1818275' first='Marcus' last='White'] OL, Dillon (pictured)

Dillon has got yet another potential star lineman in its program, and this time it's White, who has made his way over from nearby Marion. Not long before transferring, he earned his first NCAA Division-I offer. Joining a more established program won't hurt, and we already know he's willing to do the work necessary to keep his power in the trenches working in his favor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604041' first='Nathan' last='Peracki'] LB, Mullins

For someone who measured in a shade under 5-foot-9 and 155 pounds at last year's combine, Peracki knows he's not wowing anyone with his measurables. His performance, meanwhile, doesn't scream small linebacker. By the time his senior year is done, 300 career tackles and 35 tackles for loss isn't out of the question. He's been all sorts of productive.

[player_tooltip player_id='1821580' first='Jeffery' last='Williams'] OL, Loris

Horry County hasn't exactly been a hotbed of transfer news, and an offensive lineman going from Atlantic Collegiate to Loris isn't going to change that any time soon. But it doesn't mean he's not possibly the influential change of address in this next of the GSPD for the months ahead. Williams is a terrific blocker in traffic, and even better in one-on-one situations.

[player_tooltip player_id='1823525' first='De'Eric' last='Davis'] QB and [player_tooltip player_id='1820912' first='Luke' last='Thayer'] OL, South Florence

Davis has been biding his time while Thayer was busy snapping it to other quarterbacks the last two seasons. But now the biggest QB the school has maybe ever had takes over. Thayer, one of the top centers in the state regardless of class, will be tasked with getting Davis up to speed in and keeping him on rhythm. It doesn't start at Woodland, necessarily, but if Davis blows up at this combine, don't be surprised - or forget to partially credit Thayer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1664545' first='JJ' last='Brown'] WR, Myrtle Beach

Brown is undeniably much better than his on-again, off-again stats might suggest. We've seen his athletic ability up close and personal a ton, both in pads and without. He's got a massive catch radius, can hit the gas via a long stride when he needs to and is a terror on the sidelines. If the combines themselves can be a springboard, count Brown as a guy who could really use it to his advantage.

[player_tooltip player_id='1399640' first='Noah' last='Legg'] QB, Conway

The same goes for Legg, who has missed significant time the last two years after suffering an ACL tear and dealing with some of the off-field issues associated with a public coaching change. Yet, the fact remains that Legg is a gamer who often sacrifices pretty for effective. If he gets into a grove during the early afternoon session at Woodland, the sky's the limit.
