Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A dynamic EDGE defender in the metro-Atlanta who can play all over the defensive line, Ward is a quick, athletic defender with plenty of size and length at 6-foot-4 140-pounds. The physically imposing defender has a lot of potential and deserved to climb the rankings, now coming in as the No. 13 EDGE defender in the state. He brings easy D1-caliber talent and has the production to back it up. The Atlanta-area defender made 45 total tackles, seven TFLs and nine sacks. Look for his play and production to only improve in 2026 as a senior.

Read EvaluationMatt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A powerful and productive defender from Atlanta still flying under the radar, Ward is a versatile defensive lineman who can play all over the line. He’s quick and shows active hands when rushing the quarterback with the ability to play both on the edge and in the middle of the trenches. He’s a good athlete with easy Power Four size at 6-foot-4 240-pounds. He plays hard and is fresh off an extremely productive junior season where he made 45 total tackles with nine sacks and seven more TFLs. He’s only getting better and could be in store for a fantastic final season if he continues to work hard and develop more over the next several months.
