Pit Stop #1: Cannon Falls, MN and the #1 ranked 3A team in Minnesota. Colton Loeschke, ILB/FB, 6'0 195 (2022 Grad) Cannon Falls' football stadium had banners of all the seniors football players hanging on the fence just outside the field. Let's put it this way, Colton just looks like a football player! More importantly he plays like a throwback. He seeks defenders in true fullback style, bouncing and banging upfield, but also has enough nimbleness to skirt by defender on the edge. He also displays enough ball skills to effect the flat. On the defensive side of the ball, he brings his face to the tackle, looks fluid in his drops and closes with aggression. Projections: The higher the level of football, I see a classic fullback. In the non-scholarship world, I see him as either an ILB or DL (pending scheme and/or size). https://www.hudl.com/profile/11484400/Colton-Loeschke Next Level: Blocking highlights that match his ball carrying and tackling style! Kendrick Otto OL/DL, 6'2 260 (2022 Grad) Kendrick is one of the top 2-3 "Bigs" out of Cannon Falls in the last 10 years (Austin Noble - UMD). He understands blocking angles and mashes at the point of attack. Defensively, he hold his gap in the run game and condenses the pocket versus the pass. He credits his improvement from last year to hours spent working on the farm and in the weight room. Next Level: Redirection after block contact! Pit Stop #2: Goodhue, MN and the Home of the Wildcats. A big thanks to the four ball boys who gave us the full scoop on personnel before practice started! Blake Carslon OL/DL, 6'2 245 (2022 Grad) Blake has an ability to block people to the ground while keeping his feet. He can reset his hands and redirect while engaged. Defensively, he is elusive and disruptive. On film, he looks farm strong, and after seeing him play in person, it's evident there is still a lot of frame to fill out. Flashback: In the late 90's, a good football player / wrestler came out of Goodhue HS and attended RCC (now RCTC). He came into his own and earned a scholarship to Iowa State to play football. His name: Kerry Carlson, Blake's father. Blake definitely has some of his dad's game in the way he presents on film. https://www.hudl.com/video/2/19897/60de1c7b02bc9303d873a876 Next Level: Look for work after the first block! Malakye Parker RB/DB, 5'10 180 (2023 Grad) Coach Poncelet's offensive scheme showcases Malakye's versatility. Mal is an efficient runner with a patient style. He sets up his blocks, has an eye for next level space and finishes for extra yards when needed. He is precise with route running, has reliable hands and is quite smooth in transition from catch to run. How he's improved from sophomore to junior year? Long runs are becoming touchdown runs! https://www.hudl.com/profile/13271570/malakye-parker Next Level: Max production between the tackles! Adam Poncelet WR, 6'3 185 (2023 Grad) Goodhue does a great job of scheming up deep route combos and Adam has been the beneficiary. Most of his catches are deep vertical and post routes. He shows no fear with in breaking routes and catches the ball well in traffic. If he continues to get faster, Adam will be a solid receiver prospect for a number of colleges. If he gets two inches taller and fills out, we could see him as a dynamic tight end recruit. Next Level: YAC (yards after catch) https://www.hudl.com/video/2/19897/60e38bb3ab92921aec7647d1
