About Grady

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Blocking: Ability to execute all blocks needed at the TE/H position. Inside zone/drive blocks, gap blocks, outside zone/reach technique, combos, traps, and pull/isos/inserts. Receiving: solid speed and route running who makes tough catches on 50/50 balls. Great hands. Has a good feel for finding space and getting open. Can run routes or block as well as any other tight ends.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a pretty positive person. I tend not to sweat the small stuff. I work hard, am competitive and hate to lose. In big situations or moments I am able to stay focused and make things happen.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Scholar Athlete Youth Group

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am part of the leadership group with football. I was a co-captain for my basketball team last season. On Friday’s I spend time in the specialized learning center playing games with students. During the off season I stop over at my mom’s school after school and work with some of her students with math. I hope to join the national honors society next year.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I missed my entire 8th grade sports season (football, basketball and baseball) because I had my knee surgery. I worked hard with therapy and entered my freshman year stronger than before.
