Georgia HS: Young Standout QBs and Standout Athletes to Watch For

[player_tooltip player_id='2003933' first='Jaylen' last='Johnson'] out of Cedartown High School is one of the best two-way players when it comes to the wide out and defensive back positions. Johnson is equally dynamic on both ends and he is freakishly athletic with a 6'4 frame. He continues to work hard and get better on top of the natural skillset that he already has. He has a God-given ability to do things that most quarterbacks regardless of age can even come close to doing. Parker can throw from any angle in the pocket, outside of the pocket and he delivers it accurately. He doesn't mind throwing it in dangerous situations because he is that confident in his throws and his receivers, he simply gives his guys a chance and he trust what they can do. He can beat you from the pocket but do not let that fool you. Parker can beat you with his legs too! He's an ultra-talented quarterback with an extremely high IQ and he's going to get better and better each year. What a freshman season he had, battling through some injury and all but that's the resilient side of him that I know for a fact college coaches like. Baxter has an amazing level of maturity and leadership on and off the gridiron. Baxter has all of the ability and God-given talent that he puts on display each and every week. Baxter is a pure winner and what I like about him is even at the young age and class, he still puts his team on his back and plays and makes plays. Baxter can throw it with the best of them and can escape when he has to. He can extend and deliver and that's one of many things I like about his game. [player_tooltip player_id='969646' first='Caine' last='Woods'] has been nothing short of spectacular just as a sophomore playing with a high level of maturity and grit. There were a ton of ups and downs for Woods and his team this year but best believe they will be a much-improved squad next year and a talented one at that. Anytime you can be led by a young man like [player_tooltip player_id='969646' first='Caine' last='Woods'], it's a major, major plus! [player_tooltip player_id='969646' first='Caine' last='Woods'] is one of my favorites and I have covered him for some time now going back to his middle school days, so needless to say, his success hasn't come to any surprise. I have said it live on Sports talk radio that he is an outstanding quarterback and will become the top signal caller in the state in his class by the time it's said and done. Musser has the ability to throw from the pocket, outside of the pocket and he can extend plays well. Musser is an extremely mature quarterback who knows what the defense is about to do and he is a leader by example simply how he plays the game on the gridiron.
