Final Score: No. 20 St. Joseph 38 vs Cherokee 21
The St. Joseph (Hamm.) defeated Cherokee Friday night. The Wildcats started off hot as they tacked on 14 points immediately to start the game as Cherokee had no answer. St Joseph’s Senior quarterback Ja’Son Prevard had an impressive day both through the air and on the ground. He completed 11-19 of his passes accumulating 252 yards with 2 touchdowns. Prevard rushed for 28 yards on 5 carries along with a touchdown. St. Joseph was a handful from start to finish. Cherokee will get back to drawing board to improve from this game as they are much better team than what the scoreboard shows. St. Joseph (Hamm.) improves to (2-1) and Cherokee falls to (1-1).
Final Score: Haddonfield 27 at West Deptford 24
This contest was incredible from start to finish. Haddonfield jumped out to a 14-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. Senior quarterback Carson Wolff was very efficient. He completed 72% of his passes, 13-18 off his passes, and threw for 188 yards with two touchdowns. Wolff also was effective on the ground, rushing for 64 yards and 1 touchdown on 12 carries. It seems as West Deptford did not have an answer for Wolff. West Deptford falls to (0-3) and Haddonfield advances to (2-0).
Final Score: Millville 49 at Shawnee 39
The Millville Thunderbolts defeated Shawnee in a high-scoring contest. This game was very exciting to watch as Senior running back LeQuint Allen LeQuint Allen 6'0" | 180 lbs | RB Millville | 2022 State NJ had a record-breaking day. He topped 300 yards and 6 touchdowns. HIs incredible runs were difficult for Shawnee to defend. He is leading this Millville team to a great year. Shawnee falls to (1-1) as Millville advances to (3-0).
Final Score: Woodrow Wilson 30 vs Winslow 32
The Woodrow Wilson football team lost a close conference game to Winslow. Senior Quarterback Huras Duren (Winslow) had a great day through the air connecting on 3 touchdown passes. Winslow will now prepare for their game against cross-town rival Timber Creek this Friday. Woodrow Wilson will look to put this loss behind them and look to capture a win against non-league opponent Haddonfield. Winslow Eagles are now (2-0) as Woodrow Wilson Tigers fall to (1-1).
