A big-time athlete who has made play after play on both sides of the ball all season long, Wasson may not play against great competition, but even as a freshman, Wasson has been consistently one of the best players on the field. He's a stout defender and can throw the ball at quarterback, but it's his physical running style that really stands out. The powerful runner has carried the ball 192 times this fall for 888 yards and nine touchdowns. He's hit the 100-yard mark five times already and has run for six touchdowns over the last three weeks. He's a promising 2029 prospect with a bright future ahead of him.

A smaller freshman back on the rise south of Atlanta, England has been extremely productive so far for a first-year player, rushing for 565 yards through his first nine games, averaging 5.3 yards per carry. He's rushed for at least 60 yards in five games and has hit the 8-yard mark three times. He's rushed for four touchdowns on the ground. He's a quick, shifty back with a promising career over time if he continues to work hard and add more muscle mass. He'll likely see a rise in the next 2029 Prep Redzone rankings.

Possibly the next great Swainsboro running back, Johnson is a powerful back who can hold his own physically against opposing defenders. He runs hard, he can pick up big yards after contact, and is one of the top young running backs in the area. The small-town back is one of the more productive running backs across the state in the 2029 class, rushing for 564 yards and four touchdowns. He's played better and better as the year has gone along, and he's coming off a breakout game against Visalia where he ran for 162 yards and two touchdowns. His stock is on the rise and his recruitment could take off at the end of the season.

A dual-threat quarterback who has been outstanding on the ground this year, Mingle is an explosive runner who loves to test a defense with his legs. He brings plenty of arm talent too, but we'll include him in this group due to his ability to really change games on the ground. The dynamic, small-town athlete has run for 425 yards and seven touchdowns. Just a freshman, Mingle's natural talent and impressive speed make him one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks across the state in the 2029 class.

A Cobb County freshman on the rise in Marietta, Darden is a quick, shifty back with impressive back and big-play ability. He sure doesn't run like your typical freshman and has been one of the better freshman running backs in the area through the first half of the season. The promising 5-foot-9 175-pounder has rushed for 420 yards through six games with four touchdowns. He's rushed for a touchdown in four out of his six games and rushed for at least 85 yards against Dunwoody, River Ridge and Woodstock. He's an impressive runner with his best football still way ahead of him.
