St. Anthony's (Last Week, 7)

The Friars, had the biggest win of the weekend as they took down Catholic League foe Archbishop Stepinac. The game had a final score of 49-21, with the Friars pulling away after halftime. This offense for St. Anthony's is electric, [player_tooltip player_id='1630235' first='Anthony' last='Diieso'], [player_tooltip player_id='425629' first='Xavier' last='Bala'], [player_tooltip player_id='469136' first='Jax' last='Prokop'], were unstoppable against the Crusaders. The Friars sit at 5-4 on the season, where they have played some grueling competition. Their two Catholic League losses, are to teams in the top five, and their other two loses, are to Nationally ranked Don Bosco (NJ), and McDonough (MD). The Friars have likely secured a top five finish in the Power Rankings, and end the season, with Fordham Prep this weekend.

4. Iona Prep (Last Week, 5)

After facing defeat, for the first time in over a year, the Gaels faced Kellenberg Memorial, in a Catholic League matchup hoping to get back on track. With the game ending 47-13, Iona Prep picked up a major win, and jumped a spot closer to the top three. The Gales jump Archbishop Stepinac, who faced a loss against St. Anthony's. This Iona Prep team is good this year, and has one close loss to Monsignor Farrell. The two teams can play again in the Championship, as playoffs are soon. First, the Gaels, take on the Crusaders, in another Catholic League test. Look for a potential rematch between Iona Prep, and Monsignor Farrell, in what would be the biggest game of the season.

3. CBA-Syracuse (Last Week, 2)

The Brother's from Syracuse fall down in the rankings, for the first time this season. This debate will heavily be brought up in the offseason, whether Public and Private schools can or should be in the same Class, and Section. With that being said, the Syracuse squad sits undefeated, and earned a first round bye in the Section Three AA playoffs. This squad will likely make a trip to the JMA Dome, for States. This squad dropped this week, due to the level of competition. Yes they have beat every team by a lot, but they also have a very big talent gap to 7/8 teams, with Liverpool, being the closest squad to CBA-Syracuse. The Brother's will finish in the top three: however, and are on track for another state championship.

2. St. Francis (Last Week, 3)

St. Francis in my opinion, is the best team in WNY. The Red Raiders sit at 7-1 on the season, and are coming off a huge win over McDowell (PA). The Red Raiders, have one loss on the season, to Catholic Memorial, and have rolled through their out of state competition. In state, they are just as elite as they sit 2-0, in Monsignor Martin, and have a 35-0 win over SJCI, and a 59-35 win over Bishop Timon St. Jude. The final and biggest test awaits the Red Raiders, as they take on Canisius, in a battle that will decide the top seed in the League. Both teams enter 2-0, and sit in the top ten. The winner of this match, will remain in the top five through the end of the season, and be crowned the top team in Western New York in the 2025 regular season.

1. Monsignor Farrell (Last Week, 1)

Farrell will likely stay the number one team across New York. The Staten Island Squad should be the top team across any rankings, and has a legitimate shot to win the Catholic League this season. The Lions picked up a homecoming win on Friday, which allowed the squad to secure the #1 seed for the playoffs. Monsignor Farrell, has one matchup left against Cardinal Hayes this Saturday, in what should be the final nail, in a historic season for the Lions, who are my to

My Top Ten Power Rankings across the state of New York, will incorporate teams from every area of the state. The power rankings will be based off of level of competition, performance over the week, and a little mix of record, and past seasonal performance.
