Expert Analysis

The Rumson-Fair Haven prospect, was seen throughout the 7v7 circuit, and made his presence felt. He was one of a few NJ prospects in attendance in Warwick, and easily had a good day.
Spoonire was excellent during the showcase portion, ranking in the top ten of the 40-time, and the broad jump. Spoonire was excellent during 1v1 routes, he made quick work of DB’s on his routes, and racked in numerous catches. I liked his sharp route running, and his reps were extraordinarily clean for a playmaker.

, a Rumson-Fair Haven prospect, exemplified this. During 7v7 he ran an outstanding post route. At the top of this route, at the point of the catch, he used his body to shield the defender away from the ball, as he successfully completed the catch.

Cole Spoonire is the wide receiver representative for the 2nd Team All-Camp, bringing a stout presence to the outside and consistently making his impact felt throughout the event. Bigger than the average receiver, Cole still moved with impressive precision and speed, showing the ability to separate while maintaining strong body control through his routes. His relentless effort stood out from start to finish, competing hard in every rep. He also backed up his on field performance with a strong testing session, finishing top 10 in the 40-yard dash and placing 3rd overall in the broad jump for the entire camp.

For as long as I have been covering football in the state of New Jersey, Rumson-Fair Haven has always been led by a potent passing attack; and despite turnover at the receiver position, targets like

are testament and living proof to what the Bulldogs do. A slot receiver, Spoonire sinks his hips well when running out routes, maximizing separation and tightness to his break. We see him adjust to poorly thrown balls in just about any direction, while running behind his pads after catching the ball. Spoonire has balance when running, which enables him to gain extra yardage, while showing balance as he spins against defender’s leverage when tackling to pick up additional yards – also breaking poor tackles with ease. As a route runner he sells hard, shoulder fakes to create separation and is aware of where he is on the field, making falling catches and sideline grabs with equal proficiency. Spoonire profiles as a very reliable underneath target. He uses his hands well to catch the ball and frequently adjusts to throws that were not all that great. It is clear that Spoonire has carved out a niche for himself and thrives in it.
