He is smart and quickly diagnosing the play and wherever the ball goes, Brady is sprinting there. He is a stout tackler and can wrap the player up even while flying at 100 miles per hour. He is a sturdy run defender and can set the edge as an outside linebacker. In pass coverage Brady is supremely athletic and plays like a free safety when covering receivers downfield. He has 41 total tackles, 9 TFLs, and 2 interceptions. Jack has really good size for a defensive lineman at 6 ‘3 250. His effort and drive make him a heck of a defensive lineman. He is constantly either eating up blocks or forcing his blocker into the backfield so the play is disrupted. Jack has really nice hand movements and can shuck the blocker away to run after the QB. Jack has 25.5 total tackles this season and is the heart of the River Falls defense. His 6 ‘3, 200 pounds size helps him excel against the run and he is constantly running sideline to sideline as a tackling machine. Tiegan is a violent tackler and is not afraid to use his strength and speed to punish the runner. He reads the play well and attacks the LOS quickly to make a play on the ball carrier. He has improved rapidly since his sophomore season and is part of a dominant Tomahawk defense this year. He is an elite tacker with textbook form. He drops his hips well and wraps up the ball carrier instantly. Caden is a downhill safety who can blitz with some athleticism. At times he will line up right on the LOS and there he can use his explosiveness to attack the runner. Caden really has come alive this season and is the leading tackler with 54.5 total tackles for the Red Raiders this year. His quickness off of the snap helps him shoot between the two offensive lineman and when he is in the backfield, he is fast enough to chase down runner heading the opposite way. Gavin is a versatile defensive lineman where he can play inside and outside of the guards. Going from 8 tackles last season to 23.5 tackles, 8.5 TFLs and 5 sacks; Gavin has really come alive this year. While linebackers tend to be aggressive, Lukas is never out of control. When the play starts, he smoothly diagnoses the play and awaits the ball carrier. When the offensive lineman is coming downhill to block Lukas, he engages but keeps his head on a swivel to see where the runner is. Then he will disengage and shoot out a cannon to make the tackle. Lukas is lethal against the run as improved from 15 total tackles last year to 41.5 this season. His defensive tackle film is super impressive. Tyler uses his quickness off the snap to penetrate the offensive line. He stays low and uses his arms to overpower the center. Even if he is not making a play on the runner, Tyler is pushing his blocker back into the play and disrupting the backfield. On pass plays, his energy helps him create pressure on the quarterback. Tyler has 27 total tackles and 11.5 TFLs this season after recording only 9 total tackles last year. In pass coverage, he can break on the ball quickly and swat away the pass. Jeremiah's burst helps him recover to break up passes thrown his way. That burst also helps Jeremiah attack the LOS to make plays in the backfield. His speed and athleticism is elite where he is dangerous in all facets of the game (offense, special teams, defense). He has made a statement this year with 7 pass deflections, 1 interception and 25 tackles.
