is next in-line. The 6-foot-4, 251-pound defensive end takes no prisoners and is very good again the run, shedding blocks at the POA, setting a vertical edge, and quickly reaching the backfield to wrap up ballcarriers and rag doll them to the ground. Hirschy picked up his first offer from Bowling Green in February, but California offered this past week and is his first Power 4 offer.

Hirschy is a hyper-productive edge who just “gets it.” He’s violent, strong, has a good frame, well-coached, and is disciplined in gap integrity. He’s someone who helps elevate others around him because of the pressure he gets on the offense. He had 20.5 TFLs and 8.5 sacks, helping lead the Dragons to a state title. His recent offer from Bowling Green is the first of many offers to come his way.

slides in as our top edge prospect. Hirschy has played both outside and inside on the defensive line, and has the frame to play either/or at the next level. At defensive tackle he can be a force with great anchor strength and his first-step quickness makes him a disruptive force. He has good edge speed and can run the hoop from his spot at DE, and he also contributes on offense as a tough run blocker at OT.

Hirschy is a good-looking edge rusher who has the frame and size you want on the outside. He’s strong and quick off the line. He looked good in year 1 and has built upon what he flashed as a freshman. He can get off blocks and bend around the edge. He’s also good against the run and can clog gaps. He has 29 tackles, 8.5 TFLs, 4 sacks, and a deflected pass through 7 games
