The season has QUICKLY flown by as we are now at the halfway point! Over the past five weeks, there have been many exciting games, players, and moments that have caught everyone's attention. This week, instead of just posting our PRZNE Class Rankings on Instagram, I decided to provide a quick breakdown, including a look at how the season has progressed so far for each of the Top 10 teams.

1 - Wahoo (5-0): The reigning Class C1 champions have not slowed down one bit as they continue to steamroll their way through their schedule. Through five games, the Warriors have outscored their opponents 237-21, including three shutouts: Nebraska City (55-0), #5 Ashland-Greenwood (35-0), and Gross Catholic (49-0). They also have impressive wins against Aurora (42-7) and DC West (56-14).

2 - Central City (5-0): Right on the champion's heels is last year's runner-up, Central City, which has looked like a team on a mission. They have rolled to a 5-0 record with wins over Ord (38-7), Cozad (48-7), Minden (42-0), Nebraska City (53-0), and Adams Central (56-27).

3 - Sidney (5-0): It's a logjam at the near the top of the C1 rankings, but Sidney continues to hold on to the #3 spot in our rankings. The Red Raiders started the season with a pair of shutouts, holding Cozad (35-0) and Minden (20-0) scoreless. Their next three opponents have hardly fared any better as they've held Holdrege (40-7), Mitchell (48-7), and Gothenburg (21-6) to a total of 20 points.

Additionally, they beat Adams Central (34-6) and Schuyler (69-8) to round out their 5-0 record.

5 - Ashland-Greenwood (4-1): You can always expect to see Ashland-Greenwood in the mix for the top teams in Class C1, with a constant churning of great players and a solid overall program. That trend continues in 2025, as the Bluejays are 4-1 heading into the second half of their schedule. So far, they have picked up wins against DC West (48-0), Scotus Central Catholic (49-28), Auburn (56-13), and Louisville (63-14), with their sole loss coming to reigning C1 champions, Wahoo (35-0).

6 - O'Neill (5-0): The O'Neill Eagles start the season 5-0 for the second consecutive year and seem to have a little more juice than last year's team, which could take them further into the playoffs this season. So far, their resume consists of wins over Valentine (47-25), Gordon-Rushville (67-8), Ord (27-26), Ponca (69-0), and Wayne (47-21).
