Continue ReadingDefensive backs are one of the few position groups that have been able to continue to rise their stock during the cancelled season. Ball skills, fluid hips, recovery speed, and true man on man coverage. Below are 7 DB’s that will make a big impact on the defensive side of the ball from day one. A few that I have been able to evaluate during the offseason.
Tahseen Howard , Milford Mill Academy ,Safety
Dynamic on both sides of the ball.
Tahseen Howard Junior Highlights
Will Urquia ,Archbishop Curley 5’11 ,CB
Seeing Will play at tournaments this offseason, you can tell he is a competitor. Wants to follow the opposing teams’ top WR and never shies away from a battle out on the island. He plays with intensity and plays better as the game progresses. He has fluid hips and a long wing span that comes in handy batting away passes.
Kylish Hicks, Mervo Highschool ,Safety
Currently holds and offer from hometown Morgan State University.
Kylish Hicks Sophomore Highlights
Joshua Williams Joshua Williams 6'2" | 265 lbs | DL Gonzaga | 2021 State MD ,Catonsville Highschool 5’9 ,CB
Joshua was recently names the Baltimore Sun/Catonsville Times: Highschool Athlete of the Year. He earned this award by displaying his above average athleticism on the football field and in lacrosse. Josh helped lead the comets to the state championship game in lacrosse and lead the team in tackles from his cornerback position on the football field. Josh is a very twitchy DB, short distance quickness and make up speed is impressive. He will be a leader on that comets defense this upcoming season.
Craig Joyner ll ,Mount St. Joseph 5’9 165lbs ,CB
Won defensive MVP at The Show By NextGen.
