Gideon made multiple plays in the first half against the Bears, showing his strong tackling ability and ability to get in the backfield to make the quarterback’s job a lot harder. He suffered an unknown injury near the end of the second quarter.

True defensive players are typically not in consideration, but Knox was extremely productive last season.

In 12 games as a sophomore, he compiled 88 tackles, 28 being for a loss, nine sacks and one pick. If he can replicate those numbers, he will be hard to turn down.

Knox is undersized, but has some of the best athleticism for the position in this classification. He’s a top-tier run stuffer, has pass-rush upside and has proven his ability to completely take over a game.

Knox definitely got himself on the map with a strong season debut that saw him fly around the ball all night in the Commanders 34-7 win over Trousdale County. This 6 ‘2 sophomore defensive lineman was nearly unblockable as Knox consistently placed himself in the middle of the action, making plays both against the run and versus the pass. His active motor and power proved to be a problem for the Yellow Jackets offensive line. The Commanders big man must now back his play up moving forward because I see college potential with Knox with continued development and growth.
