Leading 3A in sacks with 13, Lange used his speed off the edge more than overwhelming size or strength to get into opposing backfields.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, Lange may project more to playing linebacker at the next level — unless he adds considerable weight to his frame — but the ability to make tackles is definitely there for the sophomore.

Lange has proven to be a prospect on both sides of the ball with his production for Mount Pleasant in 2025. The sophomore piled up 41.0 tackles, 27 of which were of the solo variety. He registered 18.5 tackles for loss and 13.0 sacks. As a tight end, he hauled in 17 balls for 251 yards (14.8 YPR) with a pair of touchdowns. He also was credited with 15 pancake blocks, illustrating his abilities as a well-rounded performer at the position. When watching his defensive highlights from last season, we see an explosive edge that beats opponents with speed and power. During his offensive highlights, Lange flashes upside as a precise route runner and a bully as a blocker. It seems like Lange is just scratching the surface of his potential, making him a prospect worthy of more attention on the recruiting trail.

Posting just ten tackles as a freshman last season, the flashes of high-level play were there for he and Mount Pleasant. Of those ten tackles, five came in the form of TFLs, while 2.5 were sacks.

In addition to his 7.5 sacks to start the 2025 season, Lange has already surpassed his other 2024 numbers with 15.5 tackles and 10.5 TFLs. At 6-foot-3 and 215-pounds, Lange is a physical specimen and is just too big, strong and athletic for opposing OL to handle.
