Luke plays exactly how you want your young, upcoming offensive linemen to play. He has that nasty mentality where he is looking to punish his opponent and set the tone of how it is going to be in the trenches when he is on the field. Luke is able to play that way because of the superior power he plays with. Power in his lower body to drive DL out of gaps and also power in his hands to deliver jarring initial punches. The big fella is either going to create a surge of momentum or put kids on their backs in the run game and the next level is taking notice. Luke already holds an offer from Mankato.

One of the top DBs in this Class is Marquette's [player_tooltip player_id='1733767' first='Kadre' last='Lee']. The 6' 185 lbs athlete has a very good frame for the position without sacrificing athleticism. His has quick feet, is well balanced, and has an efficient burst of acceleration that allows him to change direction quickly and efficiently so that he can run tight to WRs as well as close on the ball when it flashes in front of him. The incoming junior also has several clips showing a well developed awareness of what is going on around him while he is in coverage. Kadre is able to find the ball quickly and knows when he can take a chance to make a play on it. I'm excited for a big year to come from the impressive CB recruit.

Max spent 2024 on the JV field, but after watching him in person this summer I am confident we see him work his way to a varsity job this season. On the JV field it was borderline unfair. Even at 265 lbs, Max was so quick, explosive, and violent out of his stance. That quickly got DL off balance and usually on their back. Hicks turns that burst into violent power so quickly in the run game and it opened up a lot of holes for his RBs. At camps this summer Max showed that he could also play with a low pad level and utilize leverage with that quickness and power. I'm anticipating a big year for Max.

I have been excited about getting Joey into the rankings since coming across his highlights early this offseason. He had a great debut, coming in at TE4 overall. This is Joey's year to take that next step. In 2024 the quick, strong athlete was utilized heavily as a run blocker. He was able to win the leverage/positioning battle with his quick feet and his leg drive was able to create that surge in the trenches that helped the team's elite run game. This year we expect more of that, but also an influx of receptions as he takes over the TE1 position. Joey has the athleticism to put LBs in tough positions both before and after the catch. A big year is loading for the incoming junior.

Maybe Gavin's future home isn't at OT like he plays now, but he definitely has a home on the interior at the next level. The 6'2" 300 lbs 2027 is a fun watch on tape. The big man has overwhelming power that jumps off the tape as he blasts defenders into the ground with the initial force he is able to produce on contact. Gavin also surprises with his mobility, range, and speed in space to get out on screens and hit DBs with blocks. Gavin is a man mover and is sure to garner a lot of attention with even more impressive tape this fall.

Austyn is another athlete who had a great debut among his position group. He debuted at RB5 and there is a decent shot that he isn't done climbing that list. We have talked recently about the job opening before him this season. The workload should be there for him to show off his well balanced game. The incoming junior can with with speed, with elusive agility between the tackles, and his 5'11" 185 lbs frame can handle some physical running and tough yards. New Richmond won't hesitate to run the ball early and often, so the chances are there for Wittek to build on his sophomore season and have a breakout junior campaign.

An athlete that I would label as a need to know recruit is OT [player_tooltip player_id='1733782' first='Truman' last='Wetzel']. Looking back on his 2024 tape you see a raw prospect, but the raw tools he has are extremely hard to find. First off, Truman has elite length on his 6'7" frame. But it is how he plays that has to get you excited. Truman flies off the line with a violent burst and a low pad level that surprisingly wins the leverage battle at a high rate. That burst to power and leverage gives him the chance to seemingly run over defensive linemen as a run blocker. Wetzel also has that nasty mentality needed in the trenches. He has the frame to build on, the leverage, the balance and flexibility, and the mentality to be a college prospect. Definitely keep a close watch on Truman this fall.
