There are some serious gems coming out of Edina High School as of late, with some especially freaky athletes representing the multi-sport ranks as both football and hockey standouts for the Hornets. Yes, we all know Mason West Mason West 6'6" | 220 lbs | QB Edina | 2026 State MN and Chase Bjorgaard Chase Bjorgaard 6'0" | 215 lbs | RB Edina | 2026 State MN , but the football/hockey hybrids also have recently Wyoming-offered 6’5, 250 lber. Gage Geyer Gage Geyer 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Edina | 2027 State MN in the midst, as well as 2028 Wyatt Perry Wyatt Perry 6'5" | 230 lbs | OL Edina | 2028 MN , a breakout star from the 2025 state championship run with the Hornets who has impressed PRZMN in-person and padded up on multiple occasions throughout the season, including high-pressure, win-or-go-home state playoff and championship settings.
A bendy, flexible, and physical LT and LG, Perry is aggressive in the trenches with good hand placement and an understanding of leverage and how to win at the point of attack, even in pass pro settings. Speaking of pass pro, Perry is very technically sound, with a clean pass pro set who is far from passive and looks for work around the LOS with effective results. The lean 230 lber. can really accelerate and generate a full head of steam, leading to big collisions as a puller or trapper when asked on assignment, where he also shows off clean, impressive footwork, and he’s a smooth, effective combo blocker who can stay upright and work fluidly to the next level to knock off LBs at the second level as well. Perry uses his big body and long arms to naturally cut off and box out DL, and when you combine it with his natural strength, it leads to some massive holes around the LOS for his RBs to take advantage of, and there’s some heavy hands and noticeable pop in his pads that show up all over his sophomore tape. Perry also reports a 300 lb. bench, 375 lb. squat, 5.2 40, and 28″ vertical coming out of Edina High School. I think this kid could be a sooner-than-later popular name on the recruiting trail, so, as always, stay tuned with PRZMN and OJW_Scouting on Twitter!

One of PrepRedzoneMN’s constant goals is to find the Next Great Offensive Linemen out of Minnesota, a goal which is especially valuable out of the underclassmen ranks. After Friday’s in-person evaluation of the Eden Prairie vs. Edina 6A matchup, I think we may have found one, dear readers. Coming out of powerhouse Edina, LG Wyatt Perry Wyatt Perry 6'5" | 230 lbs | OL Edina | 2028 MN was bendy, smooth in his pass set, and physical from his OG spot, asserting himself physically from start to finish on the Hornet’s 6A OL. No film available, but the in-person showing was impressive. I’ll be eagerly awaiting more film, info, ANYTHING from the young Hornet OL.
“Well, I couldn’t be more excited about sophomore OG Wyatt Perry Wyatt Perry 6'5" | 230 lbs | OL Edina | 2028 MN . While stay babyfaced and carrying the gait of an underclassmen still growing into body, Perry flipped the switch at the snap, playing with exciting physicality and effectiveness at the point of attack while showing off some serious upside overall. Technically sound, Perry used his impressive foot speed, balance, and technique to show off a clean and effective pass set, and with his giant frame was able to move mass and open gaps in the run game. Only an underclassmen, the size already catapults Perry into D1 consideration, but his play absolutely solidified the fact that this kid is a Top 20 2028 right now. So stoked I got eyes on this kid on Friday night. PrepRedzoneMN is always on the hunt for the Next Great Minnesota Offensive Linemen, and we may have one here, folks.”
