With the 2025 high school football season quickly approaching, we are currently in another new round of rankings updates. The most recent class to be updated in the state of Kentucky is the class of 2027. With our new Top 150 posted, I have been breaking these rankings down by position. After already covering the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, I will now wrap things up with our top ATH in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky who make an impact at multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='378839' first='Garyon' last='Hobbs'] is one of the best players in the entire state in his class. He is a versatile defender who has shown the ability to play outside linebacker, nickel, and strong safety. Hobbs is very reliable against the run, showing the ability to read the play quickly then use his speed to get to the ball carrier to make the tackle before they can get going. As a sophomore at CAL, Hobbs finished the season with 79 tackles and 15 tackles for loss in 14 games. He also showed the ability to make plays against the pass, finishing last season with one sack and three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown). On offense, Garyon is a strong downhill runner out of the backfield with big play ability. As a sophomore, he ran the ball 56 times for 366 yards and two touchdowns while also catching 16 passes for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Hobbs currently holds multiple Power 4 offers and I expect a lot of eyes to be on him as a junior after transferring to Atherton.

[player_tooltip player_id='1160198' first='Chance' last='McPike'] will immediately be one of the top players in the state in his class after moving from Missouri this offseason. McPike is a very reliable receiver on offense who has the speed to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. He has also shown the athleticism and strong hands to catch passes at their highest point, even when heavily contested, with ease. Chance has also shown the ability to make an impact on special teams as a returner and on defense as a defensive back. McPike is committed to Sacramento State where I can see him making an early impact once he gets there.

[player_tooltip player_id='1665343' first='Larron' last='Westmoreland'] is a player who caught our attention with strong sophomore year film and has continued to impress this offseason. On offense, Westmoreland is a very reliable receiver on the outside. He does a great job of using his speed and smooth breaks in his routes to create separation with ease. After the catch, Westmoreland has the speed to get up the field in a hurry to pick up extra yards and has shown the strength to break tackles. On defense, Westmoreland lines up at safety where he has shown the ability to make plays in coverage while also showing the ability to fill the lane to make tackles against the run. Larron currently holds multiple Power 4/Division I offers and I expect his recruitment to continue to heat up this offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1375197' first='JuJu' last='Harmon Jr'] is a player who has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to stand out as a sophomore. Harmon lines up at safety where he is very reliable in coverage. He does a great job of reading the quarterback and flowing through the secondary to put himself in a position to make a play. When the ball is thrown his way, he has shown impressive ball skills, finishing his sophomore year at Western Hills with a team-leading six interceptions in 10 games, returning one of them for a touchdown. He also finished last season with 49 tackles and 10 tackles for loss, and made an impact on offense, leading his team in receiving with six catches for 179 yards and a touchdown while also scoring one rushing touchdown. JuJu currently holds offers from Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, Toledo, Kent State, Ohio, and Miami (OH), and I expect a lot of eyes to continue to be on him after transferring back to Scott County for his junior year.

To wrap up our top five ATH in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1200641' first='Timmy' last='Emongo']. Timmy is electric playmaker on offense, doing most of his damage out of the backfield. He is very dangerous in the open field, showing the elusiveness to make defenders miss and speed to run away from the defense on long runs. Timmy finished his sophomore year with 68 carries for 501 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games. He also caught six passes for 167 yards and a touchdown, and returned two kickoffs for touchdowns last season. Emongo also made an impact on defense as a sophomore, finishing the season with 26 tackles and two interceptions. Timmy currently holds offers from Marshall, Kentucky, Louisville, Eastern Kentucky, Miami (OH), and Kent State, and I expect more to come his way over the next two seasons.
