1A/2A OL To Know

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we approach the season, realignment is at the top of my mind. For the first time, North Carolina is going to an 8A system, which will further stratify the schools. So, over the next couple of months, I'm going through classifications to highlight the players fans will need to know.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We've arrived at the offensive linemen. The big boys up front can sometimes be harder to spot, given the lack of available stats on the internet. He has power for days, both in his upper and lower body, but he's also quick off the line. He can really move and has the frame to add a bit more weight, if he wants to do that. He's a relentless competitor who moves really well for his size. He can snap the ball, and that ability to play center will impress some colleges. While he plays some offensive tackle, he's a guard all the way at the next level. He has elite leg drive thanks to excellent strength. He rarely overcommits in the running game, and his patience allows him to keep defenders at bay, rather than falling off-balance.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
