Fong helped David Douglas celebrate a milestone victory, rushing for 186 yards and four touchdowns in a 49-6 win over Centennial. The victory marked the Scots’ first of the season and the first career win for head coach Tyler Maes. Fong led the way offensively, repeatedly finding the end zone as David Douglas built a commanding lead. After a difficult start to the season, the Scots had plenty to celebrate, and Fong’s four-touchdown performance was at the heart of their breakthrough. His ability to take over on the ground helped make it a memorable night for the program.
Fong is one of the biggest names to know on the David Douglas roster heading into the season. The 6’0″, 225-pound running back earned Second Team All-League honors in 2025 after putting together a strong junior campaign. His combination of size, power, agility, and vision gives him the potential to be one of the most productive backs in 5A this season. Maes believes Fong deserves far more attention from college coaches, pointing to his ability to move at his size and the fact that he has only played football for three years. After making basketball his primary sport entering high school, Fong has now fully committed himself to football and enters the season with high expectations.
Fong is a bruising running back whose size and power immediately stand out on film. He thrives in short-yardage situations and consistently finishes runs with physicality. For a bigger back, he shows impressive athleticism and movement, giving him intriguing versatility as both a runner and a potential H-back/fullback at the next level. His frame and toughness make him difficult to bring down once he gets downhill. With continued development athletically, he has the tools to become a very impactful offensive piece.
