The Tennessee Future Stars proudly planted their flag in the ground against their rivals from Kentucky in this year's border war, as they swept the three-game set. The 8th Grade Tennessee Future Stars (class of 2029) Offensive Line was absolutely dominant and put on a Master's Class in blocking schemes. Led by Knoxville Catholic Coach Mike Tucker, O-Line paved the way for star Running Backs [player_tooltip player_id='998187' first='A'jabeon' last='Stinson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1305180' first='Kruise' last='Buntyn Jr.'], in addition to giving QB [player_tooltip player_id='1305211' first='Cullen' last='Hayden'] all the time in the world. For only having a handful of practices, these guys looked like they had been playing together for months. Here's a look at the 2029 O-Linemen that stood out.

I cant count the number of times I've said it, or alluded to it in any write up about [player_tooltip player_id='1236042' first='Gabriel' last='Gonzalez'], he and his brother [player_tooltip player_id='1537346' first='Brayden' last='Gonzalez'] are in a class of their own when it comes to Offensive Line play in this Tennessee class of 2029. Gonzalez started at Left Tackle and played a near flawless game up front for the 8th Grade Tennessee Future Stars. Up to a solid, proportioned and great-looking 300-pounds, he overwhelmed the Kentucky Edge defenders all game long. He pulled with ease, took defenders for a ride backwards and was pivotal in TN's victory over KY. I can't say enough good things here.

Big [player_tooltip player_id='1305188' first='Zaviaus' last='Miller'] was a top performer a year ago as the starter at Right Tackle for the 7th Grade Tennessee Future Stars. On this year's eighth-grade team, Miller made the move inside and started at Center for the Volunteer State...and he was even more dominant. Miller is a massive young man with a ton of power and like a snow plow, he moved guys around with ease up front. Just behind [player_tooltip player_id='1236042' first='Gabriel' last='Gonzalez'] (listed above), my eyes tell me that Miller was the second best O-Line prospect I saw for the 8th Grade Tennessee Future Stars. Above all else, Miller played a very mean and physical style of ball, which helped set for the offense.

Playing the opposite bookend from [player_tooltip player_id='1236042' first='Gabriel' last='Gonzalez'] (listed above) was starting Right Offensive Tackle, [player_tooltip player_id='1218739' first='Barrett' last='Hudson']. In my opinion, Hudson was arguably the most athletic 8th Grade Tennessee Offensive Lineman up front. His ascension on the list of 2029 prospects in Tennessee is one of the most impressive runs I've seen in recent years, as every time I see him he is improving. While I didn't see the practices leading up to the game against Kentucky, coaches raved about his performance in camp. It clearly translated to the game day and Hudson did an outstanding job. When the strength and mass starts to come, he's going to be a dude.

The starting Offensive Line for the 8th Grade Tennessee Future Stars played the entire first half and up to halfway through the third quarter, which gave me ample opportunity to get a first look at [player_tooltip player_id='1702107' first='Steven' last='Anderson']. The Houston High School prospect did a nice job as the starting Left Guard throughout the day. Executed double teams well and had a good feel for when to slide off to pick up another blocker. Additionally, I liked how Anderson pass blocked up front. He showed off a nice punch and then recoiled and struck again with accurately placed hands.

Cracking the starting line up for this year's 8th Grade Tennessee Future Stars Offensive Line was not an easy task to accomplish. While [player_tooltip player_id='1673572' first='Dakylin' last='Proffitt'] didn't start for the Volunteer State, backup Left Tackle looked very good when he got his opportunities. He's a massive kid who is knocking on the door of 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds. There is a bit of rawness to his game and he needs to work on staying low out of his stance, but Proffitt looks and moved every bit like a future big time prospect.

Additional Notable Offensive Linemen

[player_tooltip player_id='1305222' first='Mason' last='McAnally'] | Offensive Line - Guard | Cherokee High School - The starting Right Guard for the 8th Grade Tennessee Future Stars, McAnally had his moments against Kentucky. He's more of a BOB blocker and does well once he's engaged with his power. However, he must learn to play more under control, not lunge and bring feet through contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='1694989' first='Mason' last='Finchum'] | Offensive Line - Tackle | Jefferson County High School - As mentioned above the backup Offensive Linemen didn't get into the game until halfway through the third quarter. However, Finchum, the backup Right Tackle made the most of his opportunities. He did a nice job pass blocking specifically, and avoided negative plays when in the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1668014' first='Braylen' last='Mason'] | Offensive Line - Center | Lakeway Christian - Without question he was the smallest Offensive Linemen on either team, but backup Center [player_tooltip player_id='1668014' first='Braylen' last='Mason'] hung tough. While he struggled against the size of the big bodies on the line, he did do a nice job of getting up to the next level to make blocks.
