He’s somewhat raw and needs to work on knee bend/flexibility, but he’s an absolute house to have and develop as an incoming freshmen. He already camped at Memphis this summer and more should be on the horizon.

Cracking the starting line up for this year’s 8th Grade Tennessee Future Stars Offensive Line was not an easy task to accomplish. While Dakylin Proffitt Dakylin Proffitt 6'3" | 292 lbs | OL/DL Haywood | 2029 TN didn’t start for the Volunteer State, backup Left Tackle looked very good when he got his opportunities. He’s a massive kid who is knocking on the door of 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds. There is a bit of rawness to his game and he needs to work on staying low out of his stance, but Proffitt looks and moved every bit like a future big time prospect.

On the D-Line, he’s certainly an interior guy who could be at the 300-pound mark before the regular season starts. Watching him on film, he has a tremendous frame to work with for a prospect only beginning his high school career. Long arms, long legs and carries his weight very proportionally–he really looks like a future Offensive Lineman, in my opinion. He’s on the raw side in terms of fundamentals–he plays high at times and doesn’t always keep his feet moving, but his size and strength was too much on the middle school level. The potential is certainly here for next level success.
