Before we take a dive into this progress report for the Class of ‘27, I wanted to share some news with the Prep Redzone Kansas community. It's been five months filled with anticipation, but folks can expect to see the next Class of ‘26 rankings update some time next week. Be on the look out for the revamped Top 10, the latest newcomers, and stockrisers.

While folks are sure to be eager about the update, they may find this progress report exciting as well. Lately the Class of ‘27 has had a number of prospects making noise during camp season. In addition to the camp buzz, multiple top prospects in the class have even picked up their first offers. Check out how this group has been progressing.

Offensive Linemen

[player_tooltip player_id='944902' first='Nolan' last='Hadley'] - Maize, 6'3”, 280, OL

The Class of ‘27 has a strong core of offensive linemen, and Hadley has shown why he's considered one of the best in the class. He looked very impressive at the Arkansas Razorback prospect camp as well as the Kansas Jayhawks prospect camp. Hadley also recently received an offer from the University of South Dakota.

[player_tooltip player_id='944909' first='Gus' last='Corsair'] - Hays, 6'3”, 290, OL

Corsair is arguably the hottest junior recruit in the state right now. June has been a kind month to the Hays product, as he's visited multiple Power Four programs and has shined at a few camps as well. This month he's also been piling up offers. Corsair currently holds offers from Arkansas, Arkansas State, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Toledo. He's making a strong case to be moved up to the No. 1 overall ranking in the next update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1125648' first='Maddox' last='McGinnis'] - Wichita NW, 6'4”, 300, OL

Much like his fellow linemen in this report, McGinnis is another hog that's been receiving interest from some high-level programs. So far this summer he's showcased his skills at prospect camps hosted by Iowa State, Kansas, Florida, Missouri, and Wisconsin. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman has also been offered by the Iowa State Cyclones.

Running Back

[player_tooltip player_id='491873' first='Arieus' last='Finley Jr.'] - Derby, 5'7”, 160, RB

Finley Jr. still holds a firm grip on the No. 1 spot for the running back group in this class. The dynamic back has displayed his explosiveness throughout camp season. While competing at Kansas' prospect camp, Finley Jr. clocked a 4.49 40-yard dash. Just a few days after his standout performance, the University of South Dakota offered him.

Wide Receivers

[player_tooltip player_id='856864' first='Pearce' last='George'] - Maize, 6'0”, 190, WR

After making several highlight worthy catches throughout camp season, George is in serious consideration to become the new No. 1 wideout in the next update. I've been very impressed with his route running along with his hands. George's performances have helped him earn an offer from Northeast State University.

[player_tooltip player_id='1263895' first='Jordan' last='Lockett'] - Blue Valley, 5'11”, 170, WR/DB

I told folks back in April that [player_tooltip player_id='1263895' first='Jordan' last='Lockett'] was a player to keep an eye on this summer. It's safe to say he's lived up to the praise. Lockett has routed up opposing defensive backs at multiple camps this month. This has earned him an offer from McNeese State University.

[player_tooltip player_id='1341050' first='Jacob' last='Lockett'] - Blue Valley, 6'0”, 170, WR/DB

In that same report from April, I also mentioned that [player_tooltip player_id='1341050' first='Jacob' last='Lockett'] was another prospect with potential to make noise during camp season. Like his twin brother, Jacob performed well at the camps he attended. He even recorded a personal best in the 40-yard dash with a 4.55. McNeese State offered Jacob this month as well.

Defensive Back

[player_tooltip player_id='1362958' first='Levi' last='McLaughlin'] - Derby, 6'3”, 185, DB

McLaughlin is one of a few prospects in this report that's earned a significant boost in ranking in the next update. He's proven this summer that he's without a doubt one of the most athletic prospects in the class. In multiple camp performances he's posted 40-yard dash times in the low 4.5's, has reached 36 inches in the standing vertical, and hit 9'7” or better in the broad jump.

Defensive Linemen

[player_tooltip player_id='1113168' first='Brody' last='Pfannenstiel'] - Hoisington, 6'4”, 225, DL

One of our scouts referred to Pfannenstiel as one of the top small-town prospects in the entire state back in February. That statement wasn't an exaggeration. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound defensive end has since had several Division I programs show interest in him. He currently holds two Power Four offers from Illinois and Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='1113284' first='Ayden' last='Koehn'] - Cheney, 6'3”, 260, DL

With the summer Koehn has had, folks can expect him to be one of the highest stock risers come update time. Like Pfannenstiel, Koehn is another talented small-town prospect, and his performances this summer have surely landed him on the radar of several recruiters. He's had the opportunity to compete at camps hosted by Arkansas State, Pitt State, and TCU.
