As we approach the end of June, the 2025 high school football season is quickly approaching. With that in mind, I wanted to take some time to highlight some incoming seniors in specific areas of the state of Kentucky. To continue these series, I will be taking the next week to highlight some incoming seniors at each position in Western Kentucky. After already covering the quarterbacks and running backs, here are some notable wide receivers to watch in the class of 2026 in Western Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='212337' first='Trevy' last='Barber'] is our top returning wide receiver in the entire state in his class. Barber is coming off a very impressive junior year in which he caught 79 passes for 1,327 yards and 22 touchdowns in 15 games. He does a great job of using quick breaks in his routes and his explosive speed to create separation from opposing defensive backs with ease. Barber is also very reliable in contested/jump ball situations, using his athleticism to go up and catch the pass at its highest point, regardless of what type of coverage is around him. Trevy also returned one kickoff for a touchdown as a junior. Barber currently holds offers from Gardner Webb, Troy, Austin Peay, Miami (OH), Indianapolis, and Eastern Kentucky, and I expect that list to continue to grow this offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1655659' first='Aiden' last='Jesse'] is a receiver who jumped onto my radar this past season. As a junior at Christian County, Jesse led the team in receiving with 49 catches for 690 yards and four touchdowns. He is a dangerous deep threat on the outside, using his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease. Jesse also has a high catch radius, using his length and athleticism to catch passes away from his body at their highest point. Aiden currently holds offers from Southern Mississippi and UT-Martin, and I expect a lot of eyes to be on him after transferring to Hopkinsville for his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1311247' first='Brenden' last='Brown'] is a player who has been high on my radar for a while now. He played in a crowded wide receiver room last season but proved to be reliable when targeted, catching 14 passes for 151 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games. Brown is a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. He is also dangerous after the catch, using his speed to get up the field to pick up extra yards. Brenden currently holds offers from Kentucky, Ole Miss, Southern Mississippi, Nicholls State, and Murray State, and I expect him to gain some more attention from college coaches as his targets will likely increase this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='331727' first='Chadyn' last='Morris'] will be looking to come back strong this season after missing most of his junior year due to injury. In the three games that he played in last season, Chadyn caught six passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. He is a very impressive route runner, showing the ability to use quick breaks in his routes to create separation. After the catch, Chadyn has shown the strength to break tackles with ease and elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Morris currently holds offers from Howard and Kentucky Wesleyan, and I expect college coaches to be paying close attention to him as he returns to the field this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1175831' first='Landen' last='Bratcher'] was one of the more productive receivers in Western Kentucky as a junior, catching 47 passes for 735 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games. He has shown impressive versatility with the ability to thrive both out of the slot and on the outside. Bratcher has explosive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs to create separation and to pick up extra yards after the catch. Landen also came away with an interception on defense as a junior. Bratcher doesn't currently hold any offers but I can see some coming his way soon as he has received some college interest and has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

My final notable 2026 wide receiver to watch in Western Kentucky this season is [player_tooltip player_id='1509008' first='Xavier' last='Maddox']. As a junior, Maddox caught 29 passes for 381 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games. Xavier is a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation with ease. He has also shown the speed to run by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. Maddox currently holds an offer from Kentucky Wesleyan and I expect more to come his way going into his senior year.
