From his nickel/SS spot, Hanson can cover 1v1 out of the slot and patrol the MOF with physicality and reliability, and he does a good job of dropping his shoulder and ripping through blocking attempts when running the alley or pursuing ball carriers out to the perimeter. Plus, Hanson has a great rep of him running the alley with eye-catching pace and closing speed, fast enough to snag WRs and RBs behind the LOS for TFLs from his safety spot.
