Hinderland has good athletic ability due to very good lateral quickness, good speed, balance, and acceleration. Explosive downhill linebacker with good sideline to sideline range. Hinderland has very good blitz take off speed. Gets under the offensive line’s pads and uses his good block shedding to disengage and attack the backfield. Stuffs gaps and attacks. Hinderland uses his good read and reaction speed paired with very good competitive toughness to consistently help teammates finish tackles. A prospect that is continuing to get better throughout the years!
Hinderland delivered a productive season, proving to be a reliable force in run support. He recorded 84 total tackles, added a tackle for loss and contributed half a sack while consistently flying to the football. Hinderland plays with a relentless motor and demonstrates strong pursuit from the backside, often tracking down ball carriers beyond the initial point of attack. He sheds blocks quickly and shows the ability to make plays near the line of scrimmage. His physical style and consistent effort make him a key defensive presence. As he continues developing, Hinderland is establishing himself as an emerging prospect worth monitoring closely in the small school circuit.

Hinderland has good athletic ability due to very good lateral quickness, good acceleration, speed, and balance. He’s another linebacker that does a great job at blitzing. Crowds the line of scrimmage does a great job with run support. Good get off speed. Powerful legs to push blocker into running back. Hinderland has good tackling too. He even blocked a PAT! I’m excited to see how he does moving forward.
Hinderland enters his sophomore season with valuable varsity experience already under his belt, and he’s poised to take the next step as a full time contributor. A fast, aggressive linebacker, Hinderland plays downhill and displays excellent instincts against the run. His ability to shed blocks and close on the ball quickly makes him a dangerous presence at the second level. Hinderland brings an edge to the defense and has the physicality to be an every down player in 1A. With another offseason of development, he could see a breakout season in 2024 and continue building momentum as one of the better small school linebackers in the 2028 class.
