Peyton is an elite two-way talent and can be an effective P4 player on either side of the ball. This offseason, it’s been fun watching him keep developing and refining his craft. He has great size, has good hip bend for a player his size, shows good acceleration, has the necessary closing speed and the overall speed to keep up with anyone on the field. He has clean footwork, showcases strong hands and has a large catch radius. He’s a physical player who isn’t afraid to come down the box as a safety and has the dynamic range to be the deep safety. That duality makes him a plug-and-play talent. Offensively, he is a natural X-receiver, and if the ball comes his way, it’s not a matter of if he’s coming down with it, but what he’s going to do after the catch. Premier talent.

Higginson is an exceptional two-way player, and his frame will allow him to get to 200 lbs. He has a good release package, and his physical style of play, with his speed, makes his cornerbacks have to play honestly. They can’t just jam him or consistently play off coverage. Bigger corners have to worry about his speed, and smaller corners have to deal with his physical play. Higginson shows good footwork, has the hip sink needed to win with second moves, and is exceptionally strong at the catch point. As a deep safety, he displays great range and closing speed. Higginson is an exceptional athlete and a two-way player. I’d argue he’d be a Power-Four recruit as a defensive back alone if he just focused on that. I prefer him as a receiver. He has great size and frame to grow into and should get near 200 lbs. He has good footwork, naturally creates separation, and is strong at the catch point. He is exceptional in the red and green zones and is primed to flirt with 15 touchdowns this season. Defensively, he is best as a deep safety, where he can use his range and overall speed to help be an eraser and make a play on the ball.

Higginson goes from unranked to eighth overall. He’s an exciting two way player who can make his mark on either side of the ball. But his future will be at WR, he has a great catch radius, creates separation and has great speed and ball skills. Higginson will be a Power-Four recruit and a high level skilled player. Elite upside.

During the 7’s event, Higginson showed solid footwork and created separation all afternoon. He has good speed and knows how to attack with tempo and spacing. Higginson has good hands and is an exciting two-way player and a ball hawk in the secondary. His primary position will be receiver but it’s argued that he can be just as good of a defensive back if he purely focuses on that aspect, a top talent in the 2027 class.
