Godshall made an immediate impact as a freshman, stuffing the stat sheet with 75 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and two pass breakups. His speed and physicality allow him to close on ball carriers quickly, delivering punishing hits to stop them in their tracks. In coverage, he demonstrates strong vision, reading his keys well and breaking on passes to disrupt the play. His high motor and ability to shed blocks make him a relentless defender in pursuit. If he continues to build on his early success, Godshall has the potential to be one of the top linebackers in his class.
