Barnard measures in at 5’9 155-pounds. This past season, he had 27 total tackles (19 solo, 8 assisted), 1 INT, 1 FF, and 1 FR. Barnard ranges from a corner to a safety. Very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, jumping, good change of direction. Very quick feet. Does a great job jamming the wideout at the LOS and staying physical throughout. Fluid hips to match WR breaking out of the stem. Very good man and zone coverage. Sticks like glue staying stride for stride. Barnard has very good closing quickness and timing to create pass break ups. Good tackling as well and lays the boom on unsuspecting ball carriers. He’s an exciting prospect that deserves more looks.
