It has been a great ride following the class of 2025 and along the way we were fortunate enough to witness not only great performances, but in a few instances below it even sparked some "all-time best" discussions.

In a couple of other cases below are guys who caught my eye along the way not because they put up big numbers, but because of their potential to be ballers at the next level. These are guys who have played more within a scheme or more of a supplemental role so far, but are getting ready to shine on Saturdays.

In this report we will take a final PRZ-look at five guys who I have really enjoyed following at this stage in their careers and who have a lot of football to play before it is all said and done.

So, without further adieu, let's take a closer look at five of the state's best:

[player_tooltip player_id='282258' first='Tate' last='McNew'] , 6'1,195, QB. The Maize South gunslinger is headed to Butler County this fall and leaves the high school game as one of the all-time best quarterbacks in the Wichita Metro area, if not the state. He has been one of the most prolific quarterbacks among all classes the last couple of years and this year became the career leading passer in the Wichita and surrounding area with 9,000+ total yards and 100+ TD's. He has an exceptional dual-threat game, with seamless passing mechanics, a compact shoulder rotation and a powerful arm capable of making all the throws, from short-to-medium missiles, to the velocity throws on deep crossing routes and comebacks. Fast and athletic out of the pocket, he can throw off-platform and from difficult launch angles as needed. He is going to be a great add for the Grizzlies and will be playing D1 in a couple years.

[player_tooltip player_id='570171' first='Josh' last='Burdick'] , 6'0, 180, QB, Cheney. The Cardinal sharpshooter is taking his playmaker game to Emporia State, after leading Cheney to the 3A state championship and a 13-0 record as a junior. Along the way he set numerous passing records and earned a boat-load of honors. For his career he put up some lofty numbers, running and passing for almost 8,000 yards and piling up 100+ touchdowns. He has a strong, versatile arm and a compact throwing motion to go with seasoned pocket awareness and mechanics. He quickly diagnoses defenses and slices and dices defenders with lethal strikes in the short game and can effortlessly go deep with the long touch pass. On the ground running the RPO or extending plays he is quick and a deceptively elusive runner who makes things happen. The Hornets are bringing in some studs but this guy is going to shine at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='350827' first='Logan' last='Morley'] , 6'1, 185, QB, Shawnee Mission Northwest. He is headed to Eastern New Mexico as a steal of a signing who is an athletic dual-threat QB with a ton of promise. I have been following him closely since his junior year as I have a soft spot for flexbone quarterbacks who can throw the ball. I watched him training in the off-season in the snow and later the rain and heat of summer, diligently going through a wide range of passing drills and fine-tuning skill sets. Besides his athleticism and playmaker abilities running the bone and as an RPO quarterback, he has a silky-smooth passing motion and throws a beautiful ball. He has well-schooled mechanics, with a tight throwing motion and release. When he is called on to run, he has a great burst and is fast and elusive in the open field or working through traffic. He is getting ready to be the big dawg in New Mexico running with the Greyhounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='442660' first='Carter' last='Pabst'] , 6'1, 185, WR, Eisenhower, is taking his record-breaking game to D1 Washington State after a busy off-season trying decide where the best fit was going to be. He is coming off one of the all-time best careers for a wideout, setting the state record for single-season TD's with 29 and for a career with 54. Last fall he was arguably the most deadly receiver in the state, hauling in 75 passes for 1,641 yards and averaged 22 yards a catch. He can split wide and use his breakaway speed to roast corners on the edge or move in as a slot receiver and carve up defenders in the short to intermediate passing game. Where he really shines, however, is after the catch, where he is a physical, elusive runner who is tough to bring down in the open field. It was a huge in-state loss not keeping him around, but kudos to the Cougars for picking up an out-of-state stud ready to put on a show.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115438' first='Tim' last='Chartier'] , 6'2, 180, WR, Gardner Edgerton. He is taking his high-ceiling game to Central Missouri to continue his development as a burner of a wide receiver. He is coming off a stellar senior season, helping his team win the 6A state championship while averaging 23 yards per catch and didn't drop a pass all year. He also went on to have a standout performance in the Blue-Grey All American Bowl in December down in Dallas. A fast, athletic wideout, he has an excellent catch radius and sticky hands. He has good hand-eye coordination and body control going up to the apex point for the ball and making the difficult catch. With his 6'7 wingspan and physical array of tools - 39" vertical, 10'+ broad, 4.6 forty - he has all the attributes to be a weapon at the next level. This guy is just getting warmed up and is going to make some noise with the Mules this fall.

In conclusion, get these guys on your college watchlists as they are going to be making headlines at the next level. And, as always, if you run across any ballers flying under the radar give me a shout via DM on X. Keep grindin'...
