With my first report of 2026, I'd like to start by wishing everyone in the Prep Redzone Kansas community a Happy New Year. There's much to be excited about with the start of the new year. The turn of the calendar comes with a fresh start for every prospect, and it's an opportunity to look ahead at what could be.

The future is what I'll be discussing in this report. Specifically, I'll be highlighting the Class of ‘28. Given that these prospects just finished their second high school season, there's still a lot of unknown about the class. However, there were a handful of players that separated themselves from their peers. These are five prospects that folks can expect to hear more about this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1620511' first='Keelyn' last='Duncan'] - Eudora, 5'11”, 190, ATH

In a season where the Eudora Cardinals finished 9-2, sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1620511' first='Keelyn' last='Duncan'] was arguably Eudora's top offensive weapon. After showing promise as a freshman, Duncan stepped into a starting role this past fall and produced an All-State and All-League season. He finished the ‘25 campaign with over 1,000 all-purpose yards. Duncan is a player folks can expect to see inside the Top 10 in the next class update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1810975' first='Jackson' last='Parker'] - Olathe North, 6'4”, 180, DB/WR

Another prospect that will be cracking the Top 10 in the next update is Parker of Olathe North. Parker has been on my radar for a while now, and after his impressive 2025 season he's landed on the radar of D-I recruiters. His play this past fall earned him an offer from the Iowa State Cyclones. The Olathe North product started at safety during his sophomore campaign and recorded 50 total tackles, multiple pass breakups, and one interception.

[player_tooltip player_id='1632236' first='Luke' last='Bernhardt'] - St. Thomas Aquinas, 5'11”, 175, QB

Oftentimes it can be difficult drawing attention for a quarterback playing in a flexbone style offense. Especially when a running back like [player_tooltip player_id='267076' first='Calin' last='Arndt'] is the star of the show. Despite that, [player_tooltip player_id='1632236' first='Luke' last='Bernhardt'] managed to impress in his limited role. The young signal caller received All-League honors during Aquinas' 8-2 season. He'll likely have the opportunity to be the Saints' full-time starter this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1650851' first='Quentin' last='Moravec'] - Seaman, 6'0”, 190, RB

The Seaman High Vikings had quite a few prospects breakout in 2025. Moravec was one of those players, and he shined after taking over for Seaman's injured starting tailback. The sophomore went on to lead his team in rushing with nearly 900 yards on 161 attempts and found the end zone 12 times. In the next update he's set to be one of the highest stock risers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1556844' first='Colton' last='Lake'] - Olathe South, 5'9”, 140, QB

This last prospect is one I'm intrigued by and will follow throughout 2026. Lake of Olathe South may not have seen much varsity action last year but he put together an exciting JV highlight reel. His film showcased his playmaking ability, and he was one of the reasons why Olathe South's JV squad lost only one game in 2025. Lake will need to add some size this offseason, but there's no denying he has potential.
