, like the rest of the Wolves offense, didn’t get many opportunities in the passing game on Friday night, but he did make his impact on the defensive side of the ball.
The team’s leader in pass-breakups and interceptions so far in 2025, Danninger was effective in stalling the Pella offense through the air, keeping the Dutch from getting going early. Though Michael Manning threw up some passes for his receivers to go get, Danninger was there in coverage to keep the success through the air to a minimum for Marion.

Danninger paced the Wolves in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns as a junior last season. He also served as the team’s top kick and punt returner. Danninger’s junior highlight video provides evidence as to what he can do with the ball in his hands. He does his best work operating out of the slot, where he can stretch the field or embarrass defenders with crisp routes through the middle of the field. Danninger tracks the ball well in the air and does a nice job getting position on the defender for contested catches.
