One of, if not, the newest commit in the state, Elijah Dreyer Elijah Dreyer 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL/TE Marion | 2027 State IA of Marion just announced his pledge to Illinois State. An FCS recruit with Division I offers from South Dakota, San Diego State, Northern Iowa and North Dakota, Dreyer is a prototypically-sized defensive lineman, already standing at 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds, Dreyer has the physical makeup of a defensive end or, potentially, a three-tech defensive tackle in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Choosing the reigning national runners-up, Dreyer has a chance to develop and be a part of one of the better defenses in the FCS.

Playing just a portion of the season and finishing wtih 12 tackles, including seven TFLs and four sacks, Dreyer is a physically dominant, quick pass-rusher that won’t be denied when he gets his eyes on the quarterback. Smart passers will duck and go down with ease when Dreyer sets his aim, because if not, they’re going to be hit as hard as they have all season.
