Another one without his first offer that surprises me and I have been consistent on this one for a while is Shiloh Christian linebacker Carson Quam Carson Quam 6'2" | 190 lbs | LB/TE Shiloh Christian | 2026 State ND . Carson elevated his game in the tackle department finishing the season with 110 tackles on the season and is a linebacker that I love the read-steps he utilizes as a pass-rusher into the backfield, which also saw 13 tackles for a loss and three sacks and one that has the authoritive tackling ability that will knock someone back consistently. Positon flexibility lies ahead too with Carson, as he averaged 15 plus yards per catch as a 6’2 200 pound tight end that has a sound catch radius and quickly progressive upfield. Another D2 grade I have that is a nice fit in the NSIC.

Carson was one I swear should have his first offer by now, but can show the college coaches what I saw most of the summer at camps especially in these first three games. He logged 14 tackles for a loss last year, as it doesn’t take long to tell how twitchy Carson can be getting down to the ball carrier. He also has enticing hands getting off blocks and I would expect that strength to show off even further based on what we saw at summer camps. Carson is our LB1 in the North Dakota class of 2026 and one that I surprised doens’t have his first offer yet. He has one of the biggest motors amongst linebackers in the state and plays with excellent range rep after rep. He also is one of the more wirey linebackers in this class and has efficency for his size getting off blocks with ease. Carson also possesses excellent instincts as a LB prospect that college coaches can certainly add to his frame at the next-level.

Carson has the sideline to sideline range I love at the linebacker position and processes with his athletic movement more as a hybrid defensive end which also intrigues me from a position flexibility perspective. He is VERY fast getting off his sheds down to the ball carrier and has the athleticsm with those sheds that really intrigues me on tape. He shows off as a quick processor that also shows off the work off the field that Carson does watching tape, as he plays way bigger than the 6’2 190 pounds he shows off with his measurables. He should have an exciting summer on the camp trail.

The amount of finesse that Carson plays with on every rep was super intirguing to evaluate as linebacker that you can find just about anywhere on the field with his rangey and his wirey body type that plays with a great physical presence when he makes contact.
