Camp season is coming up quickly, and I have a few receivers I'm extremely excited to see get recruited. I have watched all of these players at least once in person, and all of these players have left a mark enough for me to think of them as future GLIAC players. It's SO difficult to get recruited as a receiver, but I think all of these guys can do it.

Jamison is the biggest wildcard on this list, but also potentially the most underrated.

This season, Jamison totaled 1381 yards and 22 touchdowns on 62 receptions. I don't care what team you play on or what teams you face- that stat line is impressive.

Please watch the tape. Jamison consistently takes the top off of the defense, consistently comes down with 50/50 balls, and easily brushes off weak tackles. I'll concede that some of his routes are a tad lazy- but I've seem him enough at camps to know that he's able to run those quick, crisp routes.

Speaking of offseason camps, he was probably my #1 receiver of the entire summer of 2024. Dominant performance at the Gateway to North showcase, including several 50/50 grabs, a catch behind the DBs back, and several great grabs with poorly thrown balls. Jamison can straight-up play and I'm SO excited for him to finally get recruited.

I'm extremely interested in seeing what kind of recruiting attention Austin receives this offseason. I don't see any offers on his Twitter, yet he had an incredibly productive season and WILL eventually earn offers.

The question is, where? If Austin doesn't test well and runs sloppy routes, I think he's still good enough to earn D3 offers. But I don't think that will happen. His excellent tape, combined with his good on-field route running make me confident he'll show up and perform very well at camps. Is he a GV/Ferris guy? I lean no. Could it be an SVSU or Tech guy? I lean yes.

You really never know with WRs- it's one of if not the most saturated position out there. Super difficult to be recruited, but Austin was one of the best receivers I watched this year, so I'd be shocked if colleges don't like what they see.

I'm pretty dang confident that Mitey will earn GLIAC offers this Spring. I think I mentioned a lot of these recently- but I'll mention them again.

For one, he's in prime GLIAC country. Ferris, GV, and even Tech recruit the heck out of the Grand Rapids area. Along with the fact he goes to EK and did extremely well this season, I'd be shocked if he wasn't already on several colleges' radars.

Mitey runs very good routes. Great athleticism, great change of direction, and knows the little details of the route tree. He sometimes loses a bit of footwork discipline running against a DB vs. on air, but I struggle to name many receivers who don't. Lastly, I've said this before too, but Mitey has a drop problem. I really don't think it's going to turn colleges off too much, but still, got to focus on catching a ton of balls this offseason to train the eyes. Should be a GLIAC prospect- I'm more confident that Mitey will earn those offers than any on this list.

A bit of a sleeper prospect here. I was able to watch Duda in the middle of the season against Dakota, and he looked great. He's a prototypical X receiver who can run those deep routes and catch those 50/50 balls. I also know he's been working hard early this offseason- working on his route running. Finally, he's a passionate player. I've never had a player dap me up after a big play, but Duda did, and I thought that was awesome. He was also sharing the hype with his teammates- as long as he consistently puts that emotion toward motivation, he'll be a great college football player.

Really, as long as he tests well and performs well in camp settings, I can easily see a GLIAC team taking a chance on Duda. Again, super difficult to stand out as a WR and it's super hard to predict how WRs will be recruited, but I definitely think Duda has the stuff to be a GLIAC player.

Huge season for [player_tooltip player_id='1225746' first='Jacob' last='Johnson'], and he's STILL one of the most underrated receivers in the state!

His tape is VERY good- shows great RAC, great route running, and great hands, all against excellent competition. On top of that, he was a key player in special teams and defense. So, we've got a three-phase player who performed great in one of if not the toughest league in Michigan. Who says no to that?

I think that Jacob is going to go to a GLAIC camp, he'll perform well, coaches will watch his tape, and he'll earn an offer. If he somehow falls to D3, I'd be quite surprised. But again, you really never know for WRs.
