A couple different players could be named player of the game but [player_tooltip player_id='1293205' first='Justin' last='Hartwig'] was exceptional in all three phases and had made critical plays at crucial times. Hartwig is a solid shutdown corner that is also a fantastic WR with solid hands and good route running ability. Justin caught 7 passes for 189 yards while his biggest contribution came with less than a minute to go and he snagged the game clinching INT.

Krupa's 344 yards versus Jamestown set the all time single season mark for passing yards in Legends' history with 2,189. [player_tooltip player_id='528731' first='Alex' last='Krupa'] displays sound poise in the pocket with excellent accuracy - especially on the deep ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1283990' first='John' last='Gang'] helped Lancaster win in every way he could scoring 2 receiving TDs and a 1 yard wildcat sweep. He was targeted 14 times in this game, coming down with 8 catches for 94 yards. Gang showed quick feet and was explosive out of his breaks. He also has the ability to stretch the field as broadcasted by his 53 yard TD that ended up being the game winner.

Regardless of the outcome, the impact [player_tooltip player_id='1241972' first='Chase' last='Bonta'] has had on this Jamestown team cannot be denied. He finishes his junior year with 1,926 rushing yards and 26 TDs. He was also a force as a LB with over 100 tackles. Most players in Class AA don't play both sides of the ball full time but Bonta is a different breed. He is a punishing runner and sound tackler with great fundamentals and should be a Conolly Cup finalist.

Cruz is a name that is new to me but he certainly made an impact on this game at WR & DB. Jamestown has been a run first team all year but they opened up the passing game a bit against Lancaster and Cruz showed he has soft hands and the ability to find the holes in coverage. Defensively, he made his mark as a hard hitter and will be a player to watch for in 2025.

2024 was Thagard's first year on varsity and he showed to be a lights out corner with good tackling technique. He has solid vision and plays the ball well. His shining moment against Lancaster was at the end of the first half. He had an INT in his own territory and returned to to the Legends' 23 with 2 seconds left that set up Panebianco's TD.
