Simply, it’s about what we’ve seen and where we think they’re going.
Over the next three years, this list will grow and evolve, as players boost their worth to not only their own high schools, but the colleges they may end up calling home. For now, those, they’ve given us every reason to believe what we’ve seen so far is only the beginning.
Zai Offord Zai Offord 5'11" | 160 lbs | ATH Gray Collegiate | 2024 State SC , WR/DB, Oceanside Collegiate
The 5-foot-11, 160-pounder spent his freshman year showing off glimpses of rare athleticism on both sides of the ball. And while we think he may have better long-term potential on offense, we’re not ruling out his role as a potential top cover corner along the north end of Charleston County.
Josh Williams Josh Williams 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Westside | 2024 State SC , WR, Westside
Williams is a part of a trio of freshman who not only got playing time at Westside as freshman, but who pushed their way into the starting lineup. He put up 16 receptions for 402 yards and four touchdowns, making him a reliable target who was able to track the ball out of the air on most throws at a pretty young age.
Rocco Wojcik Rocco Wojcik 5'11" | 165 lbs | QB Socastee | 2024 State SC , QB, Socastee
Any freshman who starts on two different varsity sports at a Class 5A school is doing something right. Wojcik, also a starting shortstop on the Braves’ baseball squad, made then-first-year coach Ben Hampton re-consider some of his earliest notions by making him a part-time starter for the football team, too.
Grayson White Grayson White 6'0" | 240 lbs | QB Camden | 2024 State SC , DL, Camden
White is moonlighting a bit as a junior varsity quarterback, but make no mistake about his future – the already 6-foot-1, 250-pound defensive lineman has the makings of the next great run-stopping, quarterback-wrecking player to come out of Camden. Even a mild growth spurt and the Bulldogs’ pedigree at the position will lead to some damage.
Dee Robertson Dee Robertson 5'6" | 150 lbs | ATH Westside | 2024 State SC , RB, Westside (Pictured)
Robertson is a legit 5-foot-6. It’s the only reason he’s not more of a recruiting topic of conversation at some of the bigger schools around the Carolinas and Georgia. Coaches see huge high school production out of him, especially after he went for 186 yards and four scores as an undersized freshman playing Class 4A football.
