Zion Hubbard
About Zion
Expert Analysis
Ed OBrien | Prep Redzone Scout
Hubbard is a physical, versatile defensive back who impacts the game in multiple ways. He lines up at corner, nickel, safety, and in the box, and looks comfortable at each spot. His run support stands out right away. He diagnoses quickly, closes fast, and takes clean angles to the ball. Hubbard avoids blocks, plays with toughness, and isn’t afraid to finish tackles on the perimeter.
In coverage, Hubbard plays with good awareness. He reacts quickly to the quarterback and breaks well on short throws. From the safety spot, he stays disciplined over the top and tracks vertical routes well. Continuing to improve his man-to-man technique, his contested-ball skills, and his strength will help raise his ceiling.
Hubbard is a tough, reactive defensive back who plays fast, tackles hard, and brings valuable versatility to the secondary.
