this fall as he is going to be one of the more experienced players in 2A-1. Last season, Worley was the ultimate dual-threat weapon for the Trojans at the quarterback position. He threw for nearly 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also ran for nearly 1,000 yards and 16 touchdowns. If Kiefer becomes that true state championship contender, it will be because Worley takes his game up another level this season. He’s being recruited by D1 programs as a tight end but there’s no doubt that he’s going to be one of the better overall players in Class 2A-1 when the Trojans take the field this season.

At this time last year, we were talking really only about the potential for quarterback

heading into his sophomore season. Worley had the tough job of replacing a very productive quarterback and he was thrown into the fire with that brutal early season schedule. Worley came out of it and has grown significantly as an all around player. Last season, he threw for nearly 1,000 yards and ten touchdowns while also adding over 250 yards on the ground. Now that he has a year under his belt, we anticipate that Worley will perform at a higher level this season. We like what Kiefer brings back on offense and it starts at QB with Worley heading into year two as QB1.

will be replacing Jaxon Worley as quarterback of the Trojans and we’re looking forward to seeing the immediate impact Worley has on the field this season. He got into some games last season as a freshman but it was mostly in situations where the game was decided. So when he steps on the field, the pressure will definitely be ratcheted up but he should be ready for the opportunity. And as we’ve said before, Kiefer’s strength on offense could start with the offensive line and running game so Worley will lean on that early as he gets his feet wet.
