Every Friday throughout the 2026 season we will be adding three new players to our Prep Redzone Oklahoma Player Of The Year Watchlist. Anyone is eligible to be added but this is a list that is reserved for the best of the best. This is our sixth week of adding names and we already have some heavy hitters on this list and more keep getting added every week. This week's additions include two juniors that are tearing it up in Class 6A-1 and an athlete down in 2A-1 that has his team looking like a serious state championship contender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1343433' first='Cash' last='Worley'] - 2027 Quarterback - Kiefer

Kiefer has been one of the more dominant teams in the state through their first four games. We think they got everyone's attention with some of their final scores in non-district play. Leading the way for the Trojans has been senior and Texas State commit [player_tooltip player_id='1343433' first='Cash' last='Worley'] at the quarterback position. Worley has been putting up some big numbers on a weekly basis and what's impressive is he's rarely had to play in the second half. The Kiefer standout has been beating defenses with his arm and then with his legs and in our opinion, he's firmly established himself as one of the best players in the state. Worley committed to Texas State but some of the local schools are starting to show more and more interest with each passing week. There's no doubt that Worley's stock is continuing to go up. He'll be playing a different position at the next level but there is no doubt that he's one of the more impactful quarterbacks in the state this season. And there is a showdown coming for Worley and the Trojans. We wrote about it earlier this week but we're a couple weeks away from Worley and the Trojans going to Tulsa for a top four 2A-1 battle against Cascia Hall. We will be covering that one in person and cannot wait to see those two teams square off.

[player_tooltip player_id='1689504' first='Connor' last='Arant'] - 2028 Tight End/Defensive End - Bixby

Bixby is off to a 4-0 start and the Spartans came into this season with plenty of new faces on both sides of the ball. One marquee name back from last year is junior [player_tooltip player_id='1689504' first='Connor' last='Arant'] at the tight end position and on the defensive line. Arant recently committed to Oklahoma, becoming the first 2028 prospect in the state to give a commitment. On a team that is full of new faces but also some established stars, Arant has been absolutely lights out on both sides of the ball. Bixby has run the ball basically twice as much as throwing it. But when they've thrown it, especially near the end zone, more times than not, it's going to Arant and he's responded. He leads the team in receiving touchdowns but he's equally as impactful on the defensive side of the ball. Arant is the team leader in sacks and is also near the top of the list in tackles for loss. We've been talking about how dangerous this Bixby front seven could be when you look at the talent they have at linebacker but it starts on the line of scrimmage with Arant and company. Another reason Arant is on this breakdown is the impact he has in their biggest games. Bixby once again looks like a state championship contender and the Oklahoma Sooner commit is a big reason behind that on both sides of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1717719' first='Zealand' last='Danielson'] - 2028 Quarterback - Yukon

The Yukon Millers are 5-0 on the season and have been continuing to climb up the 6A-1 rankings every single week. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1717719' first='Zealand' last='Danielson'] was on our radar coming into this season and everything we had heard about him was that he was the real deal. But we hadn't seen it against Oklahoma competition on a weekly basis as he moved in from out of state this offseason. Danielson has been lighting up 6A-1 defenses all season and shows no signs of slowing down. He's thrown seven touchdowns and added seven more touchdowns on the ground. There are a couple reasons why Danielson is getting added to this watch list this week. First off, he's producing week in and week out and backing up all that preseason hype. But the main thing is the fact that arguably his best games have been against the toughest opponents. Last week is a perfect example of that. Danielson was not 100 percent coming into the Deer Creek game and they were trailing 18-7 at halftime. Not only did he play despite being hurt, he led a comeback victory over the Antlers with a dominant second half performance. All eyes should be on Danielson and the Millers as the calendar flips to October. They have a three week stretch where they play Union, Owasso and Jenks.
