Senior defensive end DeShon Koch DeShon Koch 6'2" | LB Sapulpa | 2026 State OK has been a player that the Chieftain coaches have been excited about for a little over a year now. Around this time last year, those coaches were telling us that Koch had the potential to be their breakout star and after watching what Koch did during his junior season, we have to say that they were right. Koch was an absolute nightmare for opponents last season, finishing the year with 11 sacks and was a pressure machine, coming off the edge. This season, Koch looks to be one of the best defensive ends in Class 6A-2. He’ll also be getting reps on offense, as a power back in short yardage and goal line situations.

Junior standout DeShon Koch DeShon Koch 6'2" | LB Sapulpa | 2026 State OK is a player that we’re very excited to watch this season and he should be important to the Chieftains on both sides of the ball. Koch has about four different positions listed next to his name and you could see him impacting offense just as much as defense. Last season, Koch was a dominant force on the defensive line as well as backing up to the linebacker position. He finished with nearly 60 tackles on the season and he also finished the year with eight sacks and four fumble recoveries. On offense, Koch also logged a pair of receiving touchdowns. Sapulpa’s coaches are high on him and we’re excited to see what he does.
