The first thing that jumps out with Cayden Schlueter Cayden Schlueter 5'9" | 150 lbs | QB Chandler | 2028 AZ is the accuracy, and not just basic completion-percentage accuracy either. It’s placement. The ball keeps showing up where only his guy has a real shot at it, and that’s one of those traits that gets everybody’s attention in a hurry, especially at this age. What makes it even better is that it doesn’t seem totally dependent on perfect platform or clean structure. Even when his feet aren’t perfectly set, he still finds a way to get the ball where it needs to go, and for a young quarterback that’s a really encouraging sign because it usually points to natural feel and control. The little things add up all through the tape. He looks like a kid who’s really thinking the position, not just playing it. He’s operating a mature offense, handling spread concepts, moving backs for protection, and generally looking sharp mentally in ways you don’t always expect from somebody this early in the process. He’s athletic enough to extend plays and get himself out of trouble when something breaks down, which gives him a little extra room for error, but the bigger takeaway is how comfortable he looks making decisions.

He’s willing to test the middle of the field and take those throws a lot of young QBs shy away from, and that confidence opens up big plays. What stands out is how natural he is when things break down — he’s not just bailing out to run, he’s moving with a purpose, scanning for a target, and making the kind of adjustments that turn a busted play into a highlight. Whether he’s sidestepping pressure, rolling out to buy an extra second, or flipping his shoulders at the last moment to deliver a strike, he just looks comfortable operating outside the structure of the play. That creativity and composure are a tough combo to find, and it makes him a dangerous guy to game plan for.
