Continue ReadingOver 60 prospects made their way to Wheeling University for their combined Junior Day/Skills Showcase camp on a very hot Sunday afternoon. There was a plethora of talent in attendance with many of the prospects receiving offers from the host Cardinals after the event. Here were the quarterbacks who competed at the Wheeling U Skills Showcase.
Central Dauphin East (PA) QB Demaj Jalloh made the trek to Wheeling from Pennsylvania this afternoon and showed why he’s considered a Top 35 quarterback in the 2025 class according to our PA site. Jalloh measured in at 6’1 175 which is a nice jump from his currently listed 6’0 160 and displayed an athletic build in person. Jalloh looks more athletic on film than his testing numbers at the camp suggested and does a nice job of improvising when needed with option and RPO ability. Jalloh throws with a nice touch on all three levels of the passing game and throws a catchable ball that falls into his receivers’ hands. He can fit the ball into tight windows across the middle of the field or lob it over defenders on go/seam routes as well as corner routes. Jalloh is a quality improviser in the pocket who can throw accurately on the run on designated rollouts and scrambles.
Jalloh currently holds an offer from D2 Lincoln (PA) and looks like a QB who should have a few D2 options by Signing Day.
Trey Robinette

Robinette
6’3″ | 180 lbs | QB
Miami Trace | 2025
OH
is a long athlete out of Miami Trace (OH) who jumped out in person and when watching his film. While you wouldn’t consider him a true dual-threat quarterback, Robinette has the athleticism to extend plays from the pocket with innate awareness to make defenders miss and fire off an accurate pass under duress. He’s a talented operator in the play-action and RPO game who has the arm strength to lob it over defenders down the field that get sucked in by the play fake. Robinette is another touch passer that lays the ball into his receivers’ hands on time and in stride. He’s a capable passer at all three levels and is consistently accurate on downfield throws.
Robinette hasn’t declared any offers on his Twitter to date but is someone that D2 programs in Ohio and surrounding states should be looking at closely.

2025 Gallia Academy (OH) quarterback
Braylan Rathburn

Gallia Academy | 2025
State
OH
is fresh off of competing at the Ohio PRZ Combine yesterday and wasted no time to compete again at the Wheeling U Skills Showcase. Rathburn is a long and athletic QB who tested very well at today’s camp with a 4.81 40, 4.44 pro shuttle, and a 3.5-yard broad jump which were all very good numbers for a quarterback with his length. Rathburn has a big-time arm that can stretch the field with the best of them while either standing firm in the pocket or scrambling and throwing on the run. He’s an impressive athlete at his length who can beat teams with his legs too and does a great job buying time to throw or taking off and running if that’s what the defense gives him. Rathburn has quality footwork on his dropnacks and does a nice job stepping into his throws when he has time to utilize his big arm even further.
He’s another 2025 QB who hasn’t posted any offers on his Twitter to date but should be picking up some over the summer with more strong camp performances.

Brady Geibel
Brady Geibel
Brady Geibel was a big-time addition to the Garaway (OH) program last season and led the Pirates to the Ohio D6 state semis after an impressive 2,700 yards passing and 32 touchdowns junior campaign. Geibel is a towering 6’4 195 athlete who was able to run a sub 5 second 40 and a 3-yard broad jump that suggests he’s not a statue in the pocket. He’s an accurate passer and his nearly 75% completion rate last season would back up but doesn’t pad that stat with just short and intermediate throws. Geibel is a quarterback who’s going to let his receivers make a big play with some typically low-percentage passes that they were able to convert on a much more efficient basis last season. He stands tall in the pocket and under control but has the athleticism to run an occasional read-option or can take off and scramble when the pocket collapses.
I’m a big fan of all the quarterbacks who came over from Ohio to West Virginia to compete at today’s camp and Geibel is another unoffered prospect who is deserving of D2 looks.

Brady Schafer
Brady Schafer
St. Clairsville (OH) 2025 quarterback Brady Schafer is one of the more underrated QBs in Ohio who did a great job in his first season under center for the Red Devils at the varsity level. He’s a very athletic prospect who had a very good season on the hardwood and further showcased that during the testing portion of the camp with a 4.84 40, 4.5 pro shuttle, and a 3.5-yard broad jump. Schafer is the true definition of a dual-threat quarterback who can continue to make strides in his passing development but is very dangerous with his legs. He’s an accurate touch passer who posted a 66% completion percentage last season and should make a nice jump heading into his senior year. Range of motion can be improved in his technique and release which will raise his ceiling as a prospect and is something that can be ironed out.
Schafer may be a bit ore raw than some of the other quarterbacks in attendance but his upside and potential paired with his athletic foundation make him a very intriguing prospect to monitor during his senior year.
2025 Gainesville (VA) quarterback Colton Kilmer is highly thought of by our Virginia site where he’s ranked as a Top 10 QB in the class and displayed his talents at the Wheeling U Skills Showcase. His measurements and testing numbers made a great first statement as he ran a 4.8 40, 4.4 pro shuttle, and a 3.5-yard broad jump at 6’3 212 pounds. Kilmer posted a tremendous junior season in VA passing for 2,500 yards and 28 touchdowns along with 700 rushing and five more scores earning First Team All-District. From watching his film and seeing him in person, the southpaw has a big arm that can put zip on his passes with velocity or take some speed off of them and lob it over defenders. Kilmer’s ball placement is impressive, especially on back shoulder throws and fitting the ball between and over defenders’ reach. He works the sidelines well on comeback and out routes and can also hit the defense over the top if they lose a step on his receivers.
Kilmer is a polished quarterback for his age with a high D2 floor and D1 potential given his versatility as a runner at the position too.
