Continue ReadingIt was a sunny and warm day at Harvest Prep High School in Canal Winchester, Ohio. The players got great instruction from multiple NCAA D3 coaches from around Ohio. We had talent come in from pretty much every part of the state of Ohio and they came out and really competed. In this article I take a look at some of the players who balled out and earned Camp MVP at their positions.
Defensive Back
2026
Antonio Williams Jr.
Antonio
Williams Jr.
6'0" | 180 lbs | DB
Cleveland Heights | 2026
State
OH
(Cleveland Heights) 6’0 180- Williams (Pictured Above) had a very strong showing at our 7v7 tournament in Pennsylvania. He brought that same high-level athleticism and intensity to today’s combine. Williams has a strong build and the physicality play press man coverage on the line of scrimmage. He has fluid hips to turn and run with receivers. He does a good job of reading the eyes of the receiver and getting his head turned to play the ball in the air. This fall Williams will be a big part of a Cleveland Heights defense that returns a ton of talent. I expect him to start gaining recruiting momentum this summer.
Linebacker
2026
Jacob Earnest
Jacob
Earnest
6'1" | 205 lbs | LB
Wadsworth | 2026
State
OH
(Wadsworth) 6’1 220- For a bigger linebacker Earnest showed really good feet. In his position drills Jacob showed off fluid hips and change of direction. He plays with a downhill slant. I project Jacob to the Mike linebacker position at the next level. He has the body type and strength to stuff the run and this athleticism to cover middle of the field. I’m looking forward to seeing Earnest carry over that strength and physicality to football games this fall!
Defensive Line
2026
Gavin Gindlesperger
Gavin
Gindlesperger
6'0" | 200 lbs | DL
Manchester | 2026
OH
(Manchester) 6’0 200- Gindlesperger was the best pass rusher on the afternoon. He showed a quick first step and had the speed to win the edge pretty much any time he wanted it. Gavin had a nice dip move he used to get inside when the offensive lineman overset. He’s definitely someone that I’m looking forward to seeing more of.
Quarterback
2025
Preston Watkins
Preston
Watkins
6'3" | 205 lbs | QB
Dublin Scioto | 2025
OH
(Dublin Scioto) 6’3 205- He’s all of the 6’3 and 205 pounds he’s listed at. He showed good feet and movement skills that will help avoid a rush. Watkins had a strong day throwing the ball. He showed nice touch on his deep balls and also the ability to throw into windows in the short to intermediate routes. I loved the confidence he came out and competed with. If he can come out and perform in the summer camps, he should start seeing interest and have college coaches ready to see some film this fall.
Running Back
2026
Kaleb Jenkins
Kaleb
Jenkins
5'10" | 185 lbs | RB
Centennial | 2026
State
OH
(Centennial) 5’9 190- Jenkins had the best day of a small but strong running back group. Physically he has a great build that shows a powerful lower body. Kaleb showed the ability to stop on a dime and be explosive out of his breaks. He also showed his versatility as a pass catcher who has the ability to run strong routes and create separation. I loved Jenkins sophomore film and am expecting a strong junior season from the up and coming back. This summer and fall he has a chance to put himself in the conversation as one of the top backs in the 2026 class.
Wide Receiver
2027
Cooper Kathman
Cooper
Kathman
6'0" | 160 lbs | WR
Anderson | 2027
OH
(Anderson) 6’0 165- The young wide receiver from Anderson High School was consistently open all day long. For a young receiver Kathman does a good job of getting to his spots and putting his foot in the ground and being explosive out of his breaks. He’s a natural hands catcher when the ball is in the air. As Cooper continues to get bigger and stronger he’s going to be a very tough player for opposing defenses to slow down.
Offensive Line
2026
Owen Snyder
Owen
Snyder
6'4" | 265 lbs | OL
Uniontown Lake | 2026
OH
(Uniontown Lake) 6’4 270- The Blue Streak big man had an impressive day on the offensive line. Snyder had good feet and the ability to bend in the run blocking drills. In the 1v1’s he showed a strong anchor, good hand technique, and the ability to mirror the defenders. I don’t remember seeing Snyder losing a rep on the day. I like him on the interior of the line at the next level. He’s a player who I will definitely be looking to see this fall.
Stay tuned there will be more to come from today’s combine!
